Accommodation: The resort's lodge-style properties provide spacious and luxuriously appointed 2, 3 and 4 bedroom accommodation. Each detached lodge is fully furnished and has its own secluded terrace and grounds, and many enjoy views of either the golf course or the beautiful surrounding countryside. The lodges are arranged in small ÔhamletsÕ each with its own heated pool. Most have satellite television and all have fully-fitted kitchens with all mod cons. Maid service is available on request and an efficient site-management team is always on hand should you require help or advice. Barbeque facilities can be hired for a small charge and most lodges are also equipped with wood burning chiminee fires for added warmth and atmosphere in autumn and winter. The lodges have been designed specifically to combine a superior level of comfort and luxury with an environmentally friendly approach that is also sympathetic to the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
Menu: Self-Catered. On-site restaurant. Guests have the freedom to fully cater for themselves or choose to eat at the restaurant on-site or in the many excellent local bars, bistros and restaurants that open year round.
Facilities/Services: The club boasts a challenging 18 hole golf course that meanders through ancient oak forests, an excellent clubhouse, superb restaurant and terrace bar, tennis courts, heated swimming pools, a children's play area, a driving range and putting green, volleyball, table tennis and boule. In addition to the on-site facilities there is a wide variety of outdoor activities available in the immediate vicinity of the club. These include walking, riding and cycling, plus water-based activities such as fishing and kayaking in the many rivers and lakes scattered around the region. SouillacÕs friendly and approachable on-site management team is very knowledgeable about the cultural and leisure opportunities available to visitors to this part of France and can advise on excursions and help with booking activities such as horse riding or canoeing. The Dordogne region also offers a multitude of attractions. Nearby are the historic towns of Sarlat, Rocamadour and Cahors. The region is renowned for its gastronomy and bon viveurs are spoilt for choice with a wide selection of restaurants and some of the best vineyards in France in the locality.
Location: Souillac Country Club is situated in the heart of South West France, yet easily accessible from the UK by air, road or rail. Toulouse, Limoges and Bergerac airports are all within 11/2 hours drive, whilst Carcassonne and Bordeaux airports are 3 hours distant. All airports are served by low cost airlines.
