Royal Sotogrande
Golf Club
Sotogrande Costa, Costa
de la Luz, Spain (Sotogrande area)
Opened in 1964, Sotogrande
has become known as one of the finest golf courses in Europe. Designed
by Robert Trent Jones, Sotogrande was his first foray onto the continent.
The course has very little rough, but there are plenty of bunkers and
water hazards to make Sotogrande a challenging course for all levels of
golfers. Accurate shots to the green are necessary on every hole as virtually
every green is surrounded by bunkers. Water comes into play on the 1st,
7th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 1th7 and 18th holes -- and always on the
right hand side.
