Designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr and Peter McEvoy, the golf course at Rathsallagh has rapidly taken its place as one of the top golf courses in Ireland. After only two years in operation it was officially listed in the top 30 (out of over 350) of Ireland's Greatest Golf Courses of 1997. It has been host ofthe Presidency of Ireland’s Blue Book 2003 and the Irish Ladies Open Stroke Play Championship 2003. Home to important domestic tournaments, many regard Rathsallagh as the best parkland course in Ireland. The undulating countryside creates the perfect golf terrain which proves a great test for golfers but is fair to all. Measuring 6885 yards from the medal tees, Rathsallagh is one of the best laid out courses you could play, several lakes and small streams meander their way across the fairways creating a USPGA feel about the design and the greens are immaculate to putt on.
