Quinta do Peru is one of the most challenging courses in the Lisbon area. It opened in 1994. Designed by American architect Rocky Roquemore, the course is located in the Costa Azul region between the castle towns of Sesimbra and Setubal and is easily accessed from the Lisbon area. The signature holes are 12 and 16. Hole 12 is a par 4 with a lake running the length of the fairway. Hole 16 is a Par 3 of over 200 metres, with a lake guarding the green. It has held the Grande Final of the UAP Challenge Tour in 1995 and 1996. Greens are of Penncross, fairways of Bermuda Tifton 419.
