Located 9 km from Estoril and designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, this course has hosted the Portuguese Open and was unanimously voted by golf professionals as one of the best on the European circuit. The Atlantic Course was inaugurated in 1992. This 18 hole, par 70 championship course of 6,290m is very well integrated with the landscape. It offers a challenge to all golfers, as well as breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, Estoril, Cascais and the Sintra Hills. The Monastery, also designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is a 9 hole, par 35 course of 2.588m. Opened in 1995, the course winds its way around the historical part of the Penha Longa Golf Resort.

Handicaps: Atlantic: 36 Men and Ladies; Monastery: 36 Men and Ladies. It is advisable to bring your handicap certificate. Players without handicap certificate will be subject to evaluation by the Golf Professional, Course Marshall or Golf Director.

Golf carts are only allowed on paths.

Dress code in effect

Work will start on the Penha Longa Clubhouse on 26 November 2007, and will take place for about 5 months. Service will take place in alternative spaces and sometimes will be more limited.
