Nearest golf: The resort is the most extensive in Europe with 7 golf courses, Old Course, New Course, Jubilee, Eden, Strathtyrum, Balgrove, Duke's Course. Its privately owned Duke's Course is the only inland course at the Home of Golf and there is tuition available here also. The Golf Practice Centre runs alongside the Old Course, is 10 minutes from town and open daily. The Scottish Golf Centre, Europe's leading indoor practice facility is 5 miles from the hotel.

Facilities: The resort has its own 18 hole golf course (Duke's), golf practice facilities, driving range, pro shop, spa (health and beauty treatments, fitness services, sunbed sessions, cardio room, weights room, steam room, sauna, sunbed, lap pool with poolside bar and sun loungers, whirlpool, spa shop), banqueting and convention facilities. Spa: Kohler Waters Spa has a 20 metre pool with stunning waterfalls, thermal suite, roof stop spa garden. Work out at the fitness suite or join an exercise class, or for something more relaxing there are specialised treatments for men and woment including the famous Kohler bathing experience.

Nearby: Although golf is a major attraction of St Andrews -- so is the culture, so non-golfers are happy here too! Tour the historic castles, palaces, stately homes and abbeys nearby; there are garden tours, distillery tours, and even a witches tour; visit the historic old city with ruined Cathedral, St Andrews castle on the sea, the Preservation Trust Museum, St Andrews Museum, the British Golf Museum, the aquarium; take in the coastal scenery and the fishing villages or go shopping in the ancient university town with its medieval and Victorian streets-- antiques shopping is particularly good. St Andrews also has very good dining in a wide choice of restaurants and lots of pubs to choose from. The concierge will arrange river, loch and sea fishing, tours of historic sites, horse-riding and other field sports.
