2008 Maintenance: 31st March- 7th April; 5th May - 12th May; 4th June - 9th June; 1st July - 7th July; 22nd September -29th September. In order to minimize the alteration of normal play, hollow tinning is carried out in 2 journeys of 9 greens each day and 7 days apart, so that the 18 greens aeration is accomplished in an 8 days period. The surface smoothness restoration process includes topdressing, drag matting and rolling. Alicante's experience guarantees in standard conditions an excellent putting surface within 3 days. In the following day after aerating, it is possible to find some areas with visible sand but the quality of the green will still be acceptable.
