King’s Course

Opened in 1919, the King’s Course is a masterpiece of classical golf course design which has been tested by the aristocracy of golf -- both professional and amateur. James Braid's plan was to test even the best player's shot-making skills all the way. Lee Trevino remarked when playing the course for the first time, “If Heaven is as good as this, I sure hope they have some tee times left.” This is the annual venue for the WPGA Championship of Europe and the Bell's Scottish Open.

PGA Centenary Course

This Jack Nicklaus designed course is a modern classic, combining the best of the earlier designs. A challenge to the designer -- this had to be a great course and to fit into the landscape in a way that did no violence to Scottish tradition. At 7088 yards from the back tees, it is the longest inland course in Scotland. There are great views of the spectacular countryside, the rugged Grampians, the distantly purple Ben Vorlich and the mountains above the Trossacks. It opened in 1993 and is the bi-annual host to the PGA Cup.
