Le Chateau Golf: The Le Chateau course, looking east and with a length of 6,616 metres, is clearly the more demanding of the two and represents a marvellous challenge for the ambitious golfer. In this wonderfully hilly countryside that features lots of wooded areas, Le Chateau has impressive ratings: greens, bunkers and numerous water obstacles that blend beautifully into the existing woodland. Outstanding holes are 6, 11, 14 Ð all of them par 5 holes, in some cases over 500 metres in length Ð plus 10 and 18, which is a par 4 hole.
Le Riou: This championship course looks west and is a wonderful, playable course for all levels. As you move through this par 72 course, breathe in the beauty of its stock of native trees. With a length of some 6,005 metres, the two loops of Le Riou are somewhat shorter than Le Chateau. With numerous slopes and rises integrated into the course, Le Riou has a majestic view of the valley and its mediaeval villages. The layout of these two wonderful courses in the Domaine de Terre Blanche is unique in France. Together, they form the heart of the Domaine. The four gated residential areas are arranged around the two courses, with both of them designed to convey a sense of spaciousness and length.
