Designed by Manuel Ferri Sanchez and opened in 1993, El Plantio Golf Club has 36,000 trees and 3 lakes. Its design is varied and the greens and fairways are in excellent condition. Absence of building construction on this peaceful course. Located 2 kms from Alicante International Airport and 3 Kms from the city centre. As of summer 2006, the third hole has been re-sited and re-construced and on the 13th hole there is a waterfall that flows into two lakes on the fairway, and the garden areas have been developed to enhance the surroundings and add to the enjoyment of playing this course.
