A Few Comments from our Clients - 2005

All-inclusive Cortijo Blanco
Thank you for arranging our golf holiday, as you know we were on a budget, so the [Cortijo Blanco] accommodation was basic but clean as was the rest of the hotel. The courses we thought could have been in a bit better condition but it was rather warmer than the expected 20C in fact most days were in the region of 26+ We also thought the cost of hiring buggies was expensive, but they were a definite requirement on the courses we played as they were hilly in places and long but very scenic and it was a pleasure more than a toil. Anyway if the wife lets me go next year I will certainly be in touch.
Thanks Again Ian White, Tingley, UK, October, 2005

Golf Holiday to Puerto Banus
The arrangements for the golf holiday were great. Everything was as planned, as per the agreement & delighted to say it all went to plan. I would have no hesitation in using your services again or recommending you to friends.
Again, thank you Mike Cooper, Leicestershire, UK, September, 2005

Costa del Sol holiday
The trip was great and didn't have any major problems. The [Cortijo Blanco] hotel was typical of 3-star accommodations but all other amenities and food were great. The golf course was high class and deserves recommendation. I wish I would have tried 1 or 2 additional courses if that was an option. Only had a problem with directions once we left Jerez airport which put us about 1hr out of our way. Not sure how many use Jerez airport to get to Costa Del Sol but it is easy to miss the Algeciras exit if driving. There is not really an exit from the toll road to Algeciras. Instead, look for the street sign posted for Algeciras and turn left...this is either a stop light or roundabout, not a stop sign. Also, once you get on the road to Algeciras/Malaga this is about an hours drive versus 40min depending on traffic. Then the road from Gibraltor to San Pedro is about another 40min to an hour depending on traffic so the entire drive is a good 2hrs or more (took us almost 3 for getting lost). Anyway, the service from Course Master was great and the prices quite reasonable. We would use in the future and also recommend your services.
Thanks again. Dave & Del Fitzgerald, Suffolk, UK, July, 2005

Just returned from a fantastic holiday to Estepona Spain - 12 persons all inclusive + 5 rounds of golf + car Many thanks for a very enjoyable package. Excellent!!
Dave Hollingworth, South York, UK, October, 2005

Thanks to everyone at Course Master for making our holiday a sucess. With regards to the service we received from your company I cannot compliment your professionalism enough. Regarding the courses we played during our stay in Spain; La Quinta was in excellent condition and probably the most enjoyable of the three. Torrequebrada was also very good. Cabopino was not in the best of condition when we played it with both the tees and fairways being a little "shoddy", it was still nevertheless enjoyable to play with some breathtaking scenery. Thanks once again for your help wih our bookings.
Best Regards Craig Ramsay, Finland, October, 2005

Enjoyable holiday in Puerto Banus
For sure we have enjoyed our golf holidays. Every thing has functioned perfect. So here from us we will say well done. We intend to use your company next time we go on golf holidays. We also will recommend your company to our family and friends.
Best regards Jens Erik Nielson, Denmark, November, 2005

We just got back an hour ago from a great holiday in Palmanova. The golf, weather, hotel and food were great. Direstions to courses were good apart from diversion due to roadworks. Santa Ponsa is by far the best course - Son Antem was OK but Poniente has deteriorated quite a bit. God its bloody cold back home Cant wait for next trip
Tony Worrall, Lancs, UK, November, 2005

Some feedback on the Sotogrande, MonteCasillo and Vila Gale hotels and the two rounds you booked for me at Valderama and Montecasillo. The Sotogrande hotel is top notch ... I would go back in a flash ... tastefully decorated without a hint of overselling itself ..... Valderama is also a top of the line golf course ... knew it would be .... Êworth every penny ... not every day mind you ..... but certainly worth it. The MonteCastillo hotel was also very nice ... not as nice as the Sotogrande ... but high end and well presented ... their golf course .... I'd say is so ... so ... it has a lot of house construction going on around it and could be classified as a "community course" ( holes whip in and out of areas, across streets and back and forth) ...... not my cup of tea ... soon there will be too many houses about. ... not enough seclusion. I would probably not make a trip there again. The Vilamoura - Vila Gale was ok ... your classic resort hotel .. you get what you would expect from it ... except that they continually play disco music in the lounge/bar area .... very tacky and out of date . Hope this helps.
Thanks again. Regards, Chris De Cairos, Ontario, BC, December, 2005

thanks to all at CMGH for all the help and organisation for our holiday. Everyone, golfers and non-golfers, thoroughly enjoyed their week in Torrevieja. Regarding the golf courses, in general, everything was fine. However, you may wish to note the following comments, generally agreed by our members. Las Ramblas. Exciting course, but too many 'blind' holes and shots, especially for those playing course for first time. Probably a fine course had we played it twice. This is a point to note when advising visitors. Would prbably play again, now that we have some knowledge of the course. Villamartin. What should be an excellent course has poorly maintained fairways and greens. Course management very poor. Needs a wake-up call! Would not play again, nor recommend to friends. La Finca. Almost everyone in our party agreed that this is the finest and nicest course we have ever played on any of our European trips. First class course management with well kept fairways and excellent (challenging) greens. Would certianly play again ...... and again! Mosa Trajectum. The 2 nine hole courses making up our round were entirely different. The Stones course is the most bizarre course ever played by any of our members. Considering we all live in Scotland and have played most of the courses in our country between us, no-one has ever come across a course with rockeries surrounding the fairways .... and bunkers. The Stones courseÊmay look interesting and pretty, but generally considered a stupid design. Almost impossible to play a shot from off the fairways. Reluctant to recommend the Stones course. The Olive course, by contrast, isÊchallenging but very sensible. Well organised and managed fairways and greens. Most enjoyable. Would recommend. Transfers Excellent.Ê The coaches were all modern, clean and comfortable. The coach company was very helpful, trying to adjust pick-up times to suit our needs on the day. 2 poitive instances come to mind about their helpfulness. One of our party was due to arrive in Alicante, from Birmingham, about 1 hour after our main party on 21 October. The coach drivers could not wait, but their company organised a car for our friend. The second instance was on the day we played Villamartin, when 1 of our party slipeed and suffered a compound fracture of his wrist. When we asked for a taxi to be called for our friend to be taken to hospital, the coach driver, who had arrived very early for our pick-up, drove our members to hospital. (This did lead to a bit of a mix-up later on, but that's not a problem). Communications Jim Borsman and office staff were absolutely first class. Jim and I kept in touch regularly, and this ensured any 'problems' were nipped in the bud quickly. Nothing seemed to be a bother to Jim and it was a pleasure speaking with him. Summary. CMGH will be the first organisation we call on for our next European trip which will probably be sometime in 2007. I don't know if you are in the habit of dealing with parties of 35 but you certainly organised ours.
Thanks to you and all of your team. Brian Keenan, October, 2005

Just to let you know that we were very pleased with the courses you booked for us. They were both of high quality and the service was excellent. We would also like you to pass on our thanks to your man in Spain, Santiago. He was very helpfull and even assisted us with advice and also helped with sorting a hotel for my group. Once again my thanks to you all and I will be back in touch for my next booking.
Regards, Larry Compton, UK, October, 2005

I was going to mail you re my booking to thank you for your help. The staff at the Marquesa were very friendly and the comment made when i produced the voucher was "perfecto". The course was in good order and we had an enjoyable day. I will certainly recommend Course Master to my fellow golfers,

Poggio dei Medici, Italy
We did indeed have a good holiday Thank you . The golf course was very nice and it was lovely Monday to Friday. The weekends were however a bit of a nightmare and I would not include a weekend again. We arrived 5 ish on theÊSaturday and checked our tee time for the Sunday which you had givenÊus as 1. 30 The pro shop said this was not possible as they had a club competition of both tees all day. However we were welcome to join the competition, whichÊwe did. The draw wasÊmade on Sat evening and we asked for a late tee time. My husband was notÊwell so we went to bed before the draw. On reporting to the pro shop at 9 am on the Sunday (in thick fog) we were told we had missed our teetime of 8 50 and it could not be rearranged. The following weekend we were leaving lateÊpm in order to play before leaving. There was however a club competition and practice rounds for the Jaguar finals on the Sunday and no tee time was available. A dayÊby the pool was no hardship but on trying to have lunch we were told it was all booked. As the hotel had been very quiet during the week it would have beenÊconsiderate to warn us that Sat would be busy and that we needed to book. Sandwiches were available at the pool but as my husband has a wheat allergy it was not much useÊ. The hotel was very comfortable and Reception very helpful and we enjoyed the course for its difficulty, condition and views, all of which were very good. but we did feel unwanted at the weekends.
Pat Vincent, Essex, UK, September, 2005

Once again I had a trouble free experience with your tee bookings. Thank you. One negative aspect was the fact that I was not made aware that there would be temporary greens in play at Oliva Nova on some holes. When you are paying top dollar green fees, this is annoying. Either I should have been advised so I could book elsewhere, or reduced green fee should have been offered. Otherwise you just become a ticket box office and I would have thought that you considerd your organisation as being more than this (maybe not?) I would definitely use you again but would appreciate more up to date information on course status.

Las Lomas Village and Spa, La Manga
Had a fantastic holiday, accommodation first class, my friends were very impressed. Golf courses excellent, only problem we had was when playing the South Course, although we had no one behind us, a very rude official asked us to speed up, with no explanation offered, only that he was in charge, and we had to follow his orders. It did spoil the round a little. Apart from that we had a marvellous time, could you price up similar break For the last week in September next year, for 4 nights, 2 x 2 bedroom apartments, remainder of holiday same details as previous.
Regards Allan Cord, Weston Super Mare, UK, October, 2005

Puerto Banus
Thanks for assisting with our best ever golf trip. Helped no end by perfect weather. All three courses and the [Park Plaza Suites] hotel would be recommended by the group.
Many Thanks Nick Wright, October, 2005, Essex, UK

Benabola Fab
The [Benabola] hotel was fab as were all the staff, we have used it for about 4 years and would like a price for next year as well please. One price for a single room apartment, and one for a twin room apartment. Both with car hire but no golf. It will be in September from a Friday to a Monday as before. One other thing we ordered a bottle of Champagne which was in the room when we got there and when we left we went to pay and they said it was in the price?? if you have been charged for this let me know and I will settle it up with Ron. Regards to Ron and the team

La Manga
La Manga Club is really brilliant, this includes in particular also the academy. I have no complaints.

La Cala Resort
I just spent a wonderful holiday in La Cala Resort. Do you have any packages for Thailand available. Thank you and regards from Switzerland

San Roque
..thanks for following up on the holiday. The resort was lovely and easy to find...although some of the directions to San Roque suites were missing. However after a wrong turn we finally found it. You might want to add after you turn off at the highway and go right you will come to a dead end and you must turn left. That should help others. My hubby was not terribly impressed with San Roque's old course but Valderamma was worth it! He was impressed BUT after all that worry with his handicap letter they never asked for it and then put him in a foursome of 'hackers..' not quite in keeping with his abilities so hmmm...whatever. He still enjoyed it. Again thanks for all your help. It was a lovely little spot and very quiet that weekend and not raining..and it had been so we were lucky! Have a great one and next golf trip I will call you,

Monte Duquesa
we had a great time, the weather was simply perfect and Alcadesa Links is simply a dream. The course was in top conditions and the views are simply stunning. Our round at Alcadesa did include a 3 course meal which was a nice surprise as well. La Canada was very good as well but I knew that already as I've played there last year. They 'burnt' the fairway by cutting it too short but it was still in very good condition (it was like playing from a soft carpet), it just was brown instead of green. I probably won't be playing Estepona again. The fairways weren't in a very good condition. The villa we had was quite nice and had enough space for 6. It had a nice view on the Duquesa Golf course and we only had to duck for cover once when someone hooked his ball into our garden :-) It would be good if you could offer cars from a different car rental. We had to queue for about one hour to get our car. We are already thinking of going again next Spring, but this time to Portugal.

Petit Hotel - Ses Cases de Pula
The whole thing from start to finish was excellent. Detail for car hire , airport, directions etc etc first class. The Pula Suites was superb.Very unusual we even spent time with the actual owner.Very keen on golf himself. The Mallorce Open is at Pula today and over the week-end.
Thanks again, Trevor Shelton, Peterborough, UK, September, 2005

Just returned from the break you were good enough to arrange for us in Spain. Had a great time, all arrangements worked out a treat and the hotel was superb. I hope to use your services again sometime in the new year, but keep me posted on any special offers, Dubai in particular seems a must visit/golf place. Many thanks again for your efforts in the trips I have used your company for, and I would happily recommend your firm to any interested parties.

Vilamoura holiday
I thought I would give you some feedback on the vacation we just had in Vilamoura staying at the Dom Pedro Marina from 1st until 8th October. This is intended to help you improve the package. Everything was good with the transfers from and to the airport and the quality of the hotel where we benefited from having two suitesÊ(rooms 103 and 104) between 3 golfers. Overall we enjoyed the vacation except for: The buses to transfer from the hotel to each golf course and back wereÊvery poor. There were apparently only 3 eight seater buses serving the 5/6 courses and all the hotels. This meant waits up to 50 minutes which made planningÊvery difficult because you had to go ask for a bus only when you were ready to leave. I complained but was met with a "take it or leave it" attitude. I told the hotel staff that this was the kind of thing that turns people off and would certainly cause them to lose business. The previous year in the same resort it was quite different and we had no problems. The Old Course is now suffering from its popularity. We had a 6 hour round and waited on every shot. The third hole is a difficult par 3 which backed up about 4Êsuccessive 4 balls. On the other courses we noticed how much more crowded and how long the rounds were compared with last year. Anyway no real problems we could not deal with but we will try somewhere different next year.
Regards Martin Read, Berks, UK, October, 2005

I do have a few comments: 1. Don Cayo The fairways, particularly the first, were heavily covered with sand thus not allowing the ball to roll after impact. This made iron shots very difficult. 2. Oliva Nova Three of the first nine holes had temporary greens. We were not told about this when we booked in and still paid a full price. The Club Office should, at least out of courtesy, have advised us.
Regards, Graham M. Radford, UK, October, 2005

We had a great time thanks, and the organization from your company was very good, so a big thanks to Jim!!! We will we coming back next year and will use you again!!
Regards, Ron Ricketts, Cheshire, UK, September, 2005

I would like to thank Jim from your office for the very helpful and friendly service that he gave us. Alicante Golf Course was my favourite and was in the best condition, I would say immaculate and a reasonable challenging course. A buggy hear is essential as there is quite a distance between green and the next tee. Bonalba Golf Course was the second best for me although a couple of the greens had some bad bare patches on. The course was probably the hardest of the 4 that I played. This course can be walked easily and they hire electric trolleys as well as buggies. Alenda Golf Course had fantastic views. A couple of the early fairways had some nasty bare patches but overall the condition was very good. A buggy here is essential, quite hilly and a LONG way between some greens and the next tee. La Sella was a very tight course. This was the only course where the buggies were not allowed on the fairways, so IF I play this one again , then I would use a trolley. This course was the only one that seemed VERY unorganised. The allocated tee time was basically ignored and it was very obvious that players simply turn up and play. The caddie master just tried to keep every one happy but the waiting was annoying and when we finished, the 1st and the 10th tee had about 20 golfers on each, waiting to tee off. I hope that this info is helpful to you. I will be thinking about organising a trip in February/March of next year so I will be in touch with you in the near future. Many thanks again for a first class service.

Vila Gale Albacora
Congratulations on arranging an excellent holiday. Everything went perfectly. We will definitely be back! We have recommended your company to all our friends.

Our golf trip went very smoothly thank you. Your service in arranging the golf reservations was excellent. I look forward to arranging our next trip very soon
Paula Loftus, Knutsford, UK, September, 2005

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on our recent golf holiday in Spain. Miraflores: Nice little course and friendly staff. We chose this one to start with as it looked not too difficult and I retain that view. Very convenient to much of the holiday accommodation. Good facilities but a society had finished just ahead of us and had taken over the bar / eating area for speeches and prize giving which left no space for anybody else. Miraflores suffers from building encroachment and although the course remains attractive some of the building are now very close. Cabopino: We liked this course. Friendly staff with small but adequate facilities. Some interesting holes (3rd especially). A lot of building work going on this year some for course improvement and some for flats and villas. Good course close to the coast and an adequate test for medium / high handicappers. Santa Maria: Big club with plenty of facilities. Course was in in good condition and would be a test for all standards. Some surrounding building work going on but the clubs extensive grounds should protect it. That said, we would not return here. It was very busy and you could not get any other impression than they were pushing as money players through as they could. More money that way! Throughout the round, the course marshals were out and about hurrying play along. When we completed the game we saw a huge queue of players waiting to tee off at the first. The course was far too busy with just 6 minutes between tee times. Overall: We enjoyed our first experience of golf in Spain and your website gave us the information we needed to choice our 3 courses. No problem with the tee bookings. Lots of new golf courses being built. If we go again then we will look further inland which hopefully will take the pressure off the crowds and allow us to relax a little more.

Rio real very good Los flamingoes very good Santana excellent apart from slowness of the round Almenara good San roque looks tired for the price now Torrequebrada good Atalaya good
Peter Tuesley, Kent, UK, October, 2005

I did enjoy my golf holiday to Marbella. The golf courses we played were very good. Atalaya Old Course - Greens were exeptionally good, layout was ok but not as dramatic as the other 2. Los Naranjos - Good layout, challenging, greens were firmer than the other 2. La Quinta - Excellent layout and good greens - course was vey wet when we played. We really like Marbella as a location and intend to play golf there next year.
Thanks Richard Hudson, Norwich, UK, October, 2005

We had a superb holiday, thanks. Rio Real was a well established, interesting and challenging course. We played with a lovely couple from Norway and had a lovely lunch afterwards in the clubhouse. La Cala was different!! My husband played really well that day and thought the course was fab! I played like a zombie as I was still in shock from the torturous journey up the mountain! (We definitely needed a buggy that day.) The clubhouse was very impressive, as were the views. We hope to return next year
Edna Taylor, Lanarkshire, Scotland, October, 2005

My comments about the courses which I booked through you are as follows: Lauro: We found it difficult to find initially. Perhaps we took a wrong turn along the way. The course of the day comprised of 9 holes of the new course and 9 of the old course. We did not enjoy the new 9 holes at all. The layout comprised of five holes running parallel to each other and all you could here was a chorus of "fores" as people criss-crossed each fairway. The greens were also very poor. The back nine however, which comprised some of the old course was completely different. A nice layout and good greens. We agreed that if we were playing 18 holes of the old course we would have enjoyed the experience. La Quinta: When you hear people talking about good courses on the Costa Del Sol, La Quinta rarely gets mentioned. This is something that we all agreed is very hard to understand because in our opinion, it is definitely one of the best. We are all reasonable golfers (5,11,14 and 17 handicaps) and have played numerous courses along the coast and La Quinta is as good as any we have played. A challenging layout with great variation. Trees, water, narrow fairways, hills, everything comes into play. It is also very well manicured. Even though it was raining very heavily on the day we played, we all agreed that it was a very enjoyable experience. The only negative we felt was the prices they charge for food in the clubhouse!
Regards, Paul Goti, Dublin, Ireland, October, 2005

Vila Gale Tavira
Just to let you know that we had a great week in Portugal. The hotel in Tavira was excellent. The golf was very good, all the arragements were in place. If I decide to go on another golfing holiday I will use your services which I found to be of very high quality.
With best regards Jurek Strelcyn, UK, October, 2005

I had a very good holiday. All three courses were in good condition. However I was surprised to find that oliva Nova had a couple (or three) temporary greens in play. I would have expected to hear about this from you when I booked. I would still have played but am surprised there was no discounted green fee in these conditions. Also it was not pointed out to me when I checked in. Another thing at Oliva Nova was that I bought a stroke saver (at a very low price I must admit) only to find that it was out of date and recent changes were not in it. Once again, this was would not have been a problem for me but I would have expected to have it pointed out to me when I bought it. Small points but there you are. Apart from that a very good experience and hassle free with my vouchers.
Regards Stewart Rothnie, Aberdeenshire, UK, October, 2005

We had a great time and many thanks to Jim who booked the courses for us in Spain, he was very helpful. Regarding the courses, the first course 'Las Ramblas' was not great, it was very busy with a 35 minute wait on the first tee and 15 minute wait on nearly all the others, the course was also very short. Altorreal was the next course we played and this was much more enjoyable with good amenities and a well kept course. Finally we played Mosa Trajectum which was a good course but many of the holes are situated very close to the adjoining villas. We also could not hire buggies at the course as they said you had to pre-order them. I hope this is useful to you. Again I was very happy with the service I received from yourselves and will be using you again in the future.
Regards Simon Moore, Cardiff, UK, October, 2005

Thank you for your assistance in making our golf tee reservations. All of your arrangements worked perfectly and we had a very pleasant break. As far as the Courses were concerned, I would comment as follows:- Villamartin - Good course, very busy. Tee boxes were not in good order as they were trying to re-seed and we were pushed as far forward as it was physically possible. Also the standard of players allowed on lthe course left much to be desired. La Finca - Superb condition of fairways, but greens had just been hollow-tined and dressed, so unfortunately not great. Mosa Trajectum - Very interesting course and extremely difficult. Quite empty as a result. Well worth a return visit. Whole trip was excellent and again thank you for your help. I will certainly be using your services again.
Regards, Ian Jones, Essex, UK, November, 2005

The course I played on the second day, the Alenda was in very poor condition. The greens were not good and the whole course looked as if it had not been watered for a time. The other two courses the Bonalba and the El Plantio were excellent.

Pestana Palm Gardens
According to your request about our holiday at Emporda Golf Club I will tell you that everything was very good. We had problems with the Ryanair flight from Sweden to Gerona on Saturday. The flight was cancelled beacause of problems with the plane. We stayed inÊthe near of the airport an extra nightÊand arrived late Sunday night to Gerona andÊEmporda. Saturday afternoon we called from Sweden to the hotel, to the car company and the golf course for the Sunday golf. All were very understanding and accepted to give us an extra day for accomodation, car hire and golf. What I want to say is that the service we got from yuor partners in Costa Brava when we called them from Sweden and at our late arrival on Sunday night was perfect. All were so kind and helpful which saved our holiday after a bad start. SoÊeven this time we are very happy for the arrangements from you. Thank you!
Kind regards Anita Ahlstorm, Sweden, December, 2005

Generally OK - but he condition of Secret Valley was so appalling, irrespective of the discount that they should not have charged even 50%. Had I known of the condituioin before I went I would not have gome to the expense of taking my clubs with me.

Golf Apartments Beach and Golf Resort
Gina, the apartment we rent, was big and fine. The "spot" was a little bit lost, a one way road, and although the beach was very near, The Beach was a few km drive. But nevertheless the costs were very moderate and we have had a great stay.
Kind regards, Paul Holtrop, Amsterdam, Netherlands, September, 2005

Vilamoura Villa
With regard to our holiday in Portugal, we had a great time and the arrangements by course master were fine. The rental car was just right and the golf tee times all worked out fine. With regard to the villa we do have the following comments: 1) The basic villa (Which was actually in Villa Sol next door to Vilamoura) was large and very attractive with a nice pool. Was very enjoyable overall but the quality of the beds left something to be desired 2) We did note that it was reallyÊaustere in terms of kitchen equipment for cooking, and hadÊno Microwave. 3) Having no phone service for local calls and very basic TV with only Portugese channels was a bit surprising considering the large quantity of British that come to the Algarve. We will definetly come back to you folks again for a future trip but thought you might want to know some of the above comments
Cheers Larry Martinson, California, USA, July, 2005

I thank you for arranging our golf but thought the below feedback would be most useful for future golfers, especially from those from America. I believe that folks, especially Americans, who want to golf in another country while on holiday, are for the most part, pretty avid golfers. Thus, the below information will make their experience more enjoyable. 1. Ugolino - this course is extremely hilly and I don't think most Americans would find this enjoyable especially since you can't drive on the course! And to complicate matters, the golf cart (buggy) paths are no where to be found and are quite rugged. On American courses, most let you drive on the course some don't but all have well defined and paved golf cart paths! 2. Le Pavionere - nicer than Ugolino but construction of the cart path was an issue as it was at Ugolino. For Americans, I would advise them about the following so folks understand what they are getting in for... 1. renting clubs is very expensive and the clubs are awful! In America, golf courses give you very nice clubs to rent in hopes that you will buy, like the ones being rented, from their golf shop. The rental clubs at these two courses were an embarrassment and most good golfers would be really disappointed. 2. Renting Buggies is extra, which is not always uncommon in American, but these buggies were expensive!!! 3. Warn golfers that tees are not available at the courses. Most all American courses offer free tees and tee markers, and sometimes divot tools. 4. Let golfers know that there is no golf cart with drinks and goodies driving around the course as there are on most all public golf courses in America. Golfers should stock up on water before they start playing. 5. We were told to start on tee box number 10 on both courses, which was fine; however, in both instances, the course was not prepared for golfers on the back 9. The flags were not available on the greens!!!!!!! It makes it difficult to sink your putt! 6. Finally, Ugolino was not familiar with your voucher so they were very tentative about taking the voucher and questioned its authenticity.
Heidi Petrefitte, California, USA, June 2005

Just thought I would let you know that the golf went perfectly. The courses were superb and the organisation was very smooth. Be assured that I will be recommending you to others and using you again.
Best regards, Paul Higginson, July, 2005

My wife & I thought that the service your company provided was excellent - The ease with which we booked courses, and the low costs combined to offer everything that we had hoped for. Your advisors in the main office were highly knowledgeable about the types of courses and their locations, and we found the vouchers contained spot-on directions to both destinations. All tee times were booked, and everything ran like clock-work from first arrival to the first tee. Both courses were in very good condition (Alcaidesa & El Paraiso), and the members were all very friendly. We wouldn't hesitate in using your service again, and actively look forward to doing so!

Monte Duquesa
Didn't take my clubs. This was a family holiday. Rudy had us in building 6 in the court with the bars and small cafe. It was very nice, but I'm sure they had the good things for the condo locked up for the owners use only. We had to shop for ice trays and sharp utensils. It was dark when we arrived at the Port and of course we couldn't find our way. We thought Rudy lived in the complex however the local police took Lisa down to the office to get the key and even waited for her to bring a pizza back. So we had pizza and a drink at 11:00 PM. It was very hot during the daybut went down to a comfortable temp at night. Didn't miss AC Talked to your Dad yesterday and told him I would writ e you a note. All turned out well. The care was great (5 on the floor which took a while to get used to) but it took all around the area Ronda Gib and many other little towns. We had a ball ThANKS.

Compostella Beach Golf
We had a great time, the appartment was very nice, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The golf club were also very helpful and my son had a great time. Thanks for all your help and I will certainly recommend you to my sons golfing friends.
Kind regards Carol Ducker, Lancs, UK, July, 2005

The golf was great - particularly Alcanada which is a stunning course with 4 par 5's contributing to the challenge. The course is very well looked after, in fact the greenkeepers were a bit intrusive if anything. Having said that the greens were like velvet although the fairways were over-watered when we played at 8:30 am, which in that climate is understandable. The clubhouse/restaurant was also top quality and if we decide to go back to Alcudia, I will definately check out Alcanada Golf Club. Pollensa was almost as good, apart from the first hole which was a bit scruffy with quite a lot of ground under repair. But of the 2 courses Pollensa offered the most spectacular hole with it's par 5 9th/18th which was simply stunning. Again, clubhouse/restaurant and facilities all excellent.

Cortijo Blanco
Our visit to Spain was excellent again. The Marbella / Puerto Buenus area never fails to deliver. it is a very enjoyable part of the world. Ref our hotel, it wasn't the best but it certainly served its purpose for such a large group, and the location is right next door to the main night-life. The Golf Course: Monte Mayor beat me again. At the 3rd time of trying, this ridiculous golf course is a must to any golfer just to experience it. The first time I played I was amazed, hence the reason my brother wanted to go back for his stag du. We've used Course Master for the last 3 years now. Keep up the good work all. You haven't let us down yet!
Kind Regards Martin Grimes, West Yorks, UK, July, 2005

As regards the golf - it was great. However it might be worth getting the individual clubs rules and warning people Unfortunately my son Robert "incurred" the wrath of those old busy bodies you know the sort old men who should have been put down at birth. Can mind their own business and make trouble for any body who they don't like. Unfortunately they were Brits - so they got the force of my tongue in every way possible. These old boys made 4 separate complaints (surprise there were 4 old gits in their party ) about the fact that Robert was putting his clubs in my bag. Evidentially the club had a rule of players must have their own bag - something the club officals had not mentioned when we arrived and saw that we only had one bag. I also think that they had suggested that I had not paid for Robert which of course was not the case. Overall it did not make for a happy first visit but the staff did make up for it. So it might just be worth alerting new players with junior players to be careful of these old gits when playing at Villa Martin

Thanks for the arrangements, everything worked fine. Our Villa Complex, Carvoeiro Clube, was excellent and located about 5 minutes from the Pestana Golf Resort by car. On the Pestana Golf Resort, we enjoyed the 2 courses and the lunches! Both courses had a Portuguese style. We expected the Pinta course to be superior but in fact the Gramacho course was just as good. On Pinta we were a bit disappointed with the front 9, there was plenty of new villa construction work going on and some very tight holes, the back 9 was much more attractive and enjoyable. Wish we had known about the half price fees after 4.30 pm as you could easily get around before dark. Morgado looked quite new and was more like a standard parkland course, the course was very quiet and inland on a very large site. The clubhouse is at the far end of the course from the entrance along an unmade road so leave extra time or take a 4x4. Travel on the main roads was very easy so next time we will go a little further and play the Championship course at Penina which looked great.
Kind regards Martin Ireland, England, July 2005

We had a great holiday thank you.My husband Michael said that Los Arqueros was a great course to play it must have been they played 9 days out of 14.We would lke to thank you again and will definetly use your service again.
sincere regards Margaret Allen, Manchester, UK, June 2006

Alhaurin Hotel
We had a wonderful time at Alhourin. The hotel was very well. The golf courses were excellent and everything was just as we could hope for. Thank you for your excellent service. I hope we can make a new trip next year, then you will hear from me.
Best regards Tom Sorlie, Norway, July 2005

We had a nice golf holiday. We were the only participants in the golf clinic - so the training was easy adjusted to our individual levels. The Hotel is very quiet and "in the middle of nowhere" meaning that the car is very essential. We enjoyed our evenings playing golf (visited Mijas Golf (both courses - very nice) and Santa Maria Golf) and visited/dined in Mijas, Malaga and Ronda.
Kind regards, Anette Bislev, Denmark, June 2005

Le Meridien Penina
My son Mats and his wife Marie are very happy about their golf holidays. They met som many nice englishmen, they played with and had dinner with at different places during the evenings. We are coming back to you. Your did a good work!

Gran Hotel Elba Estepona
Thanks we had a v.good holiday. Hotel big but v.well managed, and smart. Food in hotel quite expensive but yummy. b/fast on the day we ate it absolutely first class. Golf at estapona - lovely course great views and the harder of the two, particularly for the men. el paradisio easier course but still good, obviously popular.
Kindest regards, Sue Chipchase, UK, August, 2005

Just writing to say thanks for all of your help in getting the golf courses and buggies organised. Everything went smoother than I could ever have wished, and the courses were fantastic. Alhaurin got a favourable review from our tour members, we all played well at Mijas, but La Cala North was my favourite course, and Europa had some sublime tee shots. Santana was an amazing day, delighted to get in on the San Miguel Trophy day and we were treated brilliantly at a wonderful golf course. A big thank you to all involved in that. Overall, some fantastic memories and I will not hesitate to use your company again should we be organising a similar trip, which looks very likely next year.
Kind regards Steven Saunders, Edinburgh, Scotland, August, 2005

Back from our hols a week now & just to let you know everything went according to plan. So obviousley, we were very pleased with the service provided and shall not hesitate in recomending you to any of our golfing freinds. Villamartin; Very nice layout, tees fair, fairways fare to good, greens could be better, clubhouse fair. 8/10 Las Ramblas; Superb layout, tees good, fairways excelent, greens excelent, clubhouse poor. 10/10 Mosa Trajectum; Very very difficult layout, tees excelent, fairways fair, greens good, clubhouse good. 7/10 Further to the comments above, i would highly recomend Las Ramblas. Could not fault it for the golf. Villamartin would come recomended but i could not recomend Mosa Trajectum. This course is far too difficult for a anyone with a handicap over 5!! Stay from the very very narrow fairways and you can say goodby to your ball. No rough on the cousre at all, just water and thousands of tons of stone that line 90% of the fairways from tee to green. I would advise you not to recomend this course to anyone who is of a nervous dispositon!!!!!!
Best Regards Dave Chambers, UK, September, 2005

Dona Filipa and Dom Pedro Marina
We have just arrived back from Villamoura Portugal and am writing to say that we had a fantastic trip, weather golf and accommodation were excellent. I appreciate your efforts in arranging the trip on our behalf.
Stuart Davidson, Somerset, UK, September, 2005

I would just like to say a big Thank You for all your help in organisingÊour recent golf tour to Portugal. I was very impressed with the quick response to all my queries and the effort made by you to get allocated tee times as close as possible to those requested. Once the tee times were booked the first class service continued with the processing of payments, the confirmation and information you sent out and most importantly everything running smoothly once in Portugal. Thanks once again for such a professional service and I willÊcertainly be using you again for future tours.
Regards....Neil Hornblow, Warwickshire, UK, September, 2005

Delfim Hotel
Just a note to say we all returned safely from Portugal last week after a thoroughly enjoyable week, all the arrangements went well, vehicles, golf bookings and the hotel. The weather was kind although we arrived in pouring rain and there was very heavy rain one morning but it had stopped by the time we played. Many thanks for your help in arranging this for us.
Kind Regards Michael Edwards, Cambs, UK, October, 2005

Parque da Floresta
We thoroughly enjoyed "Parque da Floresta", and we certainly plan to be back some day for another vacation. The accommodation, the Parque da Floresta as a village, its services and facilities were always agreeable, kind and efficient. The place was a bit too windy at times - specially after +- 6.00 p.m. - but that is not unusual for the region. The management was very kind to put a 3-room house at our disposal - a gesture we highly appreciated, but - as foreseen - the 3rd room was not used because the children were too small to stay alone in a room. We were all very happy to be there and would equally happy to be back.
Kind regards, Dorrit Romanoff, Denmark, September, 2005

I would like to thank you for your assistance and the group enjoyed the golf courses particularly Bonalba,Mosa TrajectumÊand El Plantio which were excellant value I look forward to booking future golf with yourselves next year.

Montecastillo
Thought it might be helpful to give you some feedback on the hotel etc. First of all, we had a very nice holiday, the weather + golf was very nice. Car hire Ð Europa Rent a Car. Picked up car from airport and delivered it back Ð no problems. Directions to hotel on the voucher were not great, we went back again to the airport and asked. They give you a full tank and then tell you to return the car empty. This is a bit of a rip off as I bet most people return cars with some petrol still in (ours was half full). Hotel Ð First of all, the golf course was excellent Ð they did not ask for handicap certificates and there were plenty of beginners on the course which is well maintained. Staff very helpful, bags can be carried too and from the hotel via a buggy. We would recommend a buggy on the course (it still took us 4.1/2 hours) but some people did walk with a trolley. Long distances between holes and course quite hilly. The actual hotel Ð so-so. It is rated at 5-star Ð in practice the service and facilities are no more than 3-star. Only one place open during the day to get food and drink Ð at the golf centre. Snacks and a bar really. They ran out of bread on one occasion and chicken another time. In the evening there is a choice between a bar which serves snacks and the main restaurant. This offers a limited menu Ð good food though. A bit ÔFawlty TowersÕ like. ÊIn practice we did not eat here but went to a nearby village (5 mins by car Ð Meson La Cueva restaurant, just past the Jerez racing track. This place has a very large menu and is better value. The main issue here is that very little English is spoken (and why should it be) Ð apart from the hotel and golf reception areas. My O-level Spanish was dusted off and with lots of waving and pointing we were fine. This part of Spain is clearly not part of the tourist trail (yet). Hope this helps,

Mallorca Golf Holiday
Just a quick e-mail toÊtell you that we had a brilliant golf holiday. Everything ran like clockwork and I cannot praise you and your company enough for efficiency, politeness and spot on customer service. I have reccommended you to many of my friends and work colleages, and even a couple from The Netherlands whom we played golf with in Majorca.
Many thanks again. Alison Stringfellow, Lancashire, UK, September, 2005ÊÊÊÊ

Excellent holiday! Hotel no complaints whatsoever. Really good. Transfers no problem, drivers, very accommodating. Golf courses, what can you say? Superb, magnificent, with facilities to match. If you could help us with our golf then it would be unsurpassable. I fear our golf is past help though! Just for your info and don't take this as ANY form of criticism. Vilamoura Victoria had no buggies as it was preparing for the World Championship of Golf in November. As it was undulating, not at all hilly we 'cripples' got round. Only just but we made it. Also for those people who have an European Union disability parking permit or Doctor's letter confirming a walking disability Vale do Lobo will permit you to take your buggy on the fairway. Otherwise you must stick to the path, which sometimes negates the usefulness of a buggy. Our best trip yet and thanks very much for your help and patience with the booking.
Jon Davies, Essex, Uk, October, 2005

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time in portugal. Thankyou for you help in organising our golf. Palmares - Great course, but just too busy! We only just made it in after waiting at virtually every hole to tee off. Penina - Very good Morgado - Best Value, great course, lovely clubhouse (although it was suffering because of the drought in portugal at the time)- not too busy All in all, the standard of all the courses was excellent, with lovely facilities at each venue Thanks again I will be in touch again next year
Pete Jackson, Cheshire, UK, October, 2005

Quinta do Lago Golf Holiday
As usual everything went very well thanks to coursemaster Four courses were excellent. We played Quinta de lago (North) first this was a very good course unfortunately they had sanded greens but other than that good course, index 1 appears to be a relatively easy dog-leg until you reach a Lightning fast green. 7/10 One note:- they often start on 9th tee which is about 2km from 1st tee. Our second course was Quinta de lago (south) this was the best course we have played, excellent condition, some very good holes, and two or three fantastic holes.9/10. We then played Vale do lobo Ocean another great course greens, again there were very good hole and a good test of golf.8/10 Our final game was Vale do Lobo Royal this course is worth playing just for the 15th hole which is probably the most photographed golf hole in Europe, 8/10. Pinus Ria Hotel was also very nice it was small 67 rooms and well positioned for golf courses max 10mins from all four, staff were friendly and polite, rooms were very nice, clean and well maintained, we were on a bed and breakfast basis they were a number of very good restaurants in surrounding area, swimming pool was quite small and health suite was closed while we were there, overall 7/10. I hope this is of assistance and we are currently planning for next year.
Kind regards Pat Shannon, London, UK, September, 2005

Santana - Excellent course in very good condition, although expensive when compared to other courses in that area. Los Lagos (Mijas golf) - I played this course about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it, this year however I thought the condition of the course was very poor and there was no drinks trolley driving around the course offering water for sale, we weren't made aware of this before we set off. I hope this helps, looking forward to booking with you guys in the future.
Geoff Cowland, Essex, UK, August, 2005

Yes thank you, we enjoyed it immensely, especially the Victoria where we had the place to ourselves almost. Free driving range too. Pinhal was a little too busy - we were switched to the 10th hole to start and it took ages to queue for check-in. Good job we were early. Hopefully we will be in touch with you again next year - fingers crossed. Thank you for your enquiry.
Regards John Price, East Yorkshire, UK, October, 2005

Just a little note of thanks from me for theÊcompletely satisfactory way you made all my golfing venue arrangements recently. Nothing, but nothing, was wrong or improperly organised, and should i venture abroad again i shall not hesitate to have your company plan my stay.
Many thanks Geoff Pollard, Staffordshire, UK, September, 2005

We played on the following courses: Praia del Rey Very nice course. Some long walks between green and tee. Penha Longa Looked very nice if the fairways would have been green..... Because of a very dry winter and summer the fairways were totally gone Quinta Marinha too much noise of building houses, several times we had to cross a fairway to get to the next tee, not my kind of golf course When we leave for our next golf holiday you will hear from me again!
Kind regards, Marc van Woesik, Holland, September, 2005

Algarve golf holiday
I had an excellent golf holiday in Portgual. The [Vila Gale Nautico] hotel was great, the [David Leadbetter] golf school and coach very good, the golf courses were also very good.
Thank you Jeremy Peacocke, UK, August, 2005

Benamor, short course well kept but found it easy. Quinta de Ria,Really enjoyed this course,a bit wide open but will be better in a few years. Istantilla was so tight and difficult but seemed a lot more mature and was the best course out of the 3 we played, must admit the hol was very good and overall the courses was good.your bookings was spot on.
Regards David O'Brien, Sheffield, UK, September, 2005

We had a great time. The courses are superb and hopefully will be booking through you again next year. Thanks for a very efficient service.

Los Granados Apartments, Puerto de la Duquesa
They were very happy with the holiday. The accommodation was very good. They landed up with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 4 balconies - how many balconies does man and boy need!! From what I can gather the town was nice with a 10 minute walk to the bars and restaurants. More ex pats and Londoners that Spaniards but plenty choice of places to eat. Generally, there was a lot of building work going on all down the coast, but they weren't affected in the apartments with noise or dust. On the car front, they had a bit of a wait for the car at the hire desk as would be expected, but the car was fine and took all the bags and clubs. Having just the 3 games of golf pre arranged was probably enough and they enjoyed all 3 courses. Neil forgot to take the camera with him, but his friend took a few shots of the apartments and he is going to pass on the disk so that we can copy the photos - whatever happened to good old 35mm? As soon as I get the disk, I'll e-mail through the shots of the apartment for your reference. Overall they were very pleased with the accommodation, car and golf and are already discussing the next golf trip. Thanks for organizing this for them at what was really very short notice. It all worked out very well.
Best regards Carole (for Neil Lovie), UK, October, 2005

Golf in Costa del Sol
The golf holiday was excellent and everything went according to plan ! My comments on the courses are as follows :
La Canada - Course is in good condition, quite undulating, is quite busy and has a lot of play therefore the fairways and greens not in as good a condition as some we played. Greens however are very fast. My only real memory of this course was that all the holes seem to be the same, there was little variety. The Green fees were good value though.
Alcaidesa - This course is fantastic ! With brilliant scenery overlooking Gibraltar, the fairways and greens are immaculate and when we played it felt like we were the only people on the course. The course plays very long with many par 4's in excess of 420m it is well spaced out from hole to hole. The wind is a major factor and some of the holes into the wind are extremely tough. Even tough we hadn't asked for it we got buggy's for free! Definitely a course I would play again.
Estepona - Very friendly club, again buggies included in the price which I didn't expect. Very nice course fairways and greens well maintained. Was quite busy with a lot of people on the course so can be a little slow to get round. Some tricky holes and some easy ones to keep all skill levels interested, some excellent elevated tee holes on 5 and 10, a couple of long par 5's and a devilish long par 3 on 14. Again a course I would return to.
Los Flamingos - The highlight of the week ! 5 star hotel with a 5 star course. The fairways were like greens and the greens like carpet. The course was not busy and played fantastic. It was difficult but fair with a nice mixture of different types of holes and challenges, water appears often, especially on the 10th where it is a feature off the tee and at the green ! A lovely course, a bit expensive to play but worth it. The clubhouse facilities were excellent although as you would expect the prices were high compared to the others we played. Would come back again.
Atalaya - We played the new course which was OK. It was very tricky, the fairways are tight and the greens very small, fast and undulating. This is a course for the more experienced low to mid handicapper, we had a couple of guys playing off 24 and they really struggled. The course is very hilly and looks like it has been shoe-horned behind the old course (which is members only) and the mountains. Not one I would return to. Thanks again for your help, I will be coming back to you for next years trip !

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Back from holiday today -everything went perfectly. No problems at all. The golf [Torrequebrada] although not great was good enough to win the money! Many thanks again for all your help.
Pat Shields, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Car Hire Auto Jardin (Faro Airport) - The care hire counters are immediately outside the main arrivals terminal at Faro airport & are well signposted. The staff were very friendly & knowledgeable, & all spoke excellent English. What was most pleasing however was that unlike many other operators I have travelled with, there were no hidden costs or charges when picking up our cars (Which were new & well valeted) Driving in Portugal, is very easy with the roads well signposted & in the main relatively quiet once out of the cities.
Accommodation - Quinta Da Beloura, Sintra The accommodation was by consensus 1st rate value for money. We stopped in the clubhouse, which I believe has about a dozen or so rooms, all of which were spacious & included a kitchenette. The rooms also included TV's & remote controlled Air Conditioning. The clubhouse, restaurant, bar & rooms were all spotlessly clean & well maintained. - Clearly, the Clubhouse is not a hotel: the restaurant & bar both closing very early at about (9pm) but this never caused a problem as the staff were always willing to accommodate us in what ever way they could. In addition the location of the accommodation was such that it was a very short journey to many local bars & restaurants in Sintra, Estoril & Lisbon itself. - The most impressive thing about this resort was the friendly & knowledgeable staff. Most especially the staff in the Golf Reception who made every effort to ensure that we had the tee times we wanted, gave us some great advice about local courses & made the holiday very special indeed. - The only criticism I would have about this resort was the lack of a Swimming Pool, although I believe there are plans to extend the resort in the very near future.
Golf The golf in Portugal in quite rightly world renowned, although having never played there before I was sceptical about the quality of some of the lesser known courses!!! However my experiences of the courses we played is nothing but positive with all of the clubs, friendly & very well maintained. (Greens & Fairways - comparing very favourably with my own club (Forest of Arden))
Quinta Da Beloura - A good course for the Mid-High handicapper with villa/tree lined fairways - excellent value for money & a good every day course.
Troia - 1hour south of Lisbon on a Peninsula of land which is reached by ferry. An excellent Links style course which is intersected with sand dunes & has no bunkers because most of the rough is indeed sand!!! Good value for the Mid handicapper - well worth a visit.
Aroriera 1 & 2 - 30mins from Sintra. Large 36hole resort offering two similar tree & water lined courses (Often described as the 'Wentworth' of Portugal) for the Low to Mid handicapper. Given the quality of the courses/fairways/greens & clubhouse these courses represents truly excellent value for money in comparison to the more well known premium courses in the area.
Belas - 30mins from Sintra. Large residential resort with integral Golf course open to the public. Excellent if very hilly course (a buggy is a must on this course) for all handicaps.
Course Master I found Coursemaster purely by accident online, but I'm glad I did!!! My parties trip (8 members) was very much a last minute affair & as our excursion coincided with the European Championships in Lisbon we had struggled greatly to find suitable/affordable accommodation until we contacted Coursemaster (Ron Mckail). However, very quickly after contacting Ron our accommodation, car hire & tee times were arranged for us & the whole process was faultless & very easy because of Coursemasters & especially Ron Mckails' efforts. I would thoroughly recommend Coursemaster to any of my fellow golfers & will definitely be using them again the next time my party plans an excursion.

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Well the lads are back from there trip andÊI think they are still on cloud nine. Almost everything went perfect. The golf courses [Vilamoura Old, Vilasol Vilamoura Millennium] were beyondÊtheir expectations and the staff there could not be nicer. They all said that they were all treated with great repect and were made feel very welcome. Unfortunetly the standard of some of the golf played was not great but that is outside anyones help. The villa [Casa do Vale, Vilamoura Villas] was very nice expect that some of the playersÊare quiet tall and the beds had foot plates at the end. Again outside of your control. The poolÊand condition of the villa were excellent (some of the guys even managed to learn to swim which knowing them would make quiet a spectacle). The van was a definite hit with the lads as they believed that it saved a lot of money on taxis. To sum up they have asked me to let you know that hopefully by christmas we shall be booking another trip with you. Thanks again.

Golf Holiday to Morocco
Thank you for your email. The feedback from the guests [at Palmeraie Golf Palace] was that the holiday was fantastic and everything was organised perfectly. I would certainly use your company again when booking future golfing holidays. Again, many thanks for all your help in organising this holiday.

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
The Miraflores course, clubhouse and facilities were excellent, everyone was friendly and welcoming, and all in all, superb value for money.
Dave Bishop, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
Yes very enjoyable . La sella were very accommodating. Oliva Nova not so. They did not tell us when we teed off that the pro shop shuts at 8:30 and tried to hurry us off the course on the 16th tee even though we had only being playing 3 hrs 45 mins. Not impressive when there was still 2 hours of daylight and we were not told that in advance. I wont be hurrying back to them.
Nigel Cragg, Surrey, UK, June 2005

Costa del Sol Courses in Fantastic Condition
All four courses [La Cala, Torrequebrada, Santa Maria, Marbella] were in absolutely fantastic condition, the weather was great & we were treated wonderfully by everyone we encountered - the trip was a big success & I look forward to next year's arrangements! A big thanks once again for your help
Jonathan Powell, UK, June 2005

Golf in Cyprus
The golf holiday was very good thanks. We enjoyed playing all three courses. We were made welcome at all the courses and dealt with efficiently. Secret Valley and Tsada were very enjoyable all though Tsada was a little too punishing as a lot of the rough was sandy stone and it was very difficult to keep the ball on the fairways due to the run off. Aphrodite Hills was a different class absolutely superb. First class course and set up, wow. We enjoyed this course the most. When I return to Cyprus in the future it will be to play this course. Thanks for your help with the booking and I look forward tousing your services again in the future.
Shaun Vine, Derbyshire, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to Almeria
My husband enjoyed the golf course [Marina Mojacar] and we had a great time.
Sue McGurn, Bucks, UK, June 2005

Golf in Marbella
The golf course La Quinta was the better one of our both courses, but both (Naranjos) were very good. The only desturbing thing on Los Naranjos was that our flight with 4 people was hassled from smaller flights.
Hansjurgen Seller, Marbella, Spain, June 2005

Golf Holiday to Mallorca
The holiday went fine. Hotel very picturesque [Petit Pula Hotel], golf course [Pula] very quiet and car hire fine. Everybody enjoyed the stay. Thanks for the organisation.
Terry Rourke, June 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
The alcaideisa golf cource was very nice, but it is not a links cource like in ireland or scotland; we had a lot of joy by playing the cource and no problems with your vouchers; thank you very much for your help and the good price; if we go to ireland, i hope its presently, we will ring you up again.

Christine Burtscheidt, Germany, June 2005

Mallorca Courses in Good Condition
Everything went according to plan during the holiday. Despite the hot conditions the courses were in very good condition and staff were very helpful, I would play them all again if I returned to Majorca. Bendinat Golf Club and Santa Ponsa were especially nice, very scenic but Poniente was average, and we couldn’t find the first tee, despite the signs. Prior to the holiday I was pleased with the way your company handled the finance and with the communication throughout the process and I would most certainly use your company again. Thank you.
Chris Hersey, Essex, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Thanks for your email - sorry it has taken a little while to get back to you. The lads really enjoyed their break - everything went very smooth and with no problems at all. They got the time wrong at one golf course (cant read - too much beer the night before I bet!!) but the pro was brilliant and manged to still slot them in. Thanks for all your help - will definately book with you next year if they go again.
Sara Towers, June 2005

Golf Holiday to the Vilamoura
I had been meaning to drop you a line before now. The holiday was fantastic. An excellent resort (Vilamoura). In terms of the golf, I couldn't fault it. The vouchers etc were received on time, & all very informative, providing everything required for the day. Tee-off was even on time! The course itself (Pinhal) was excellent, if a bit challenging at times!! It was in very good condition, as was the clubhouse etc as well as all other facilities. The staff were friendly, although the transport back to the hotel was delayed by an hour. I will happily recommend your services. If you have a mailing list, please can you add my details?
Francis Macfarlane

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Holiday fantastic as usual, courses [Vilamoura Old, Vilamoura Millennium, Vilamoura Victoria] were in better nick than when we went in Feb. Hotel [Vila Gale Ampalius] was its normal friendly state different room this time with balcony overlooking the marina spent a few hours there each day with a bottle of vino So we go back there in June. I think you can take it from me if anything was bad about the place i woudn't go again & again.
David Sedgman, London, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to the Vale do Lobo, Algarve
Great Time, Great Weather. Dona Filipa Excellent, San Lorenzo, Good Golf course Vale de Lobo Ocean Course was just ok. would hurry back to it. The hotel [Dona Filipa] was much the same as the penina, but much better located. Car Hire ok. Be in touch again soon.

Golf in Cyprus
Aphrodite Hills Golf Course was one of the best we have played, the course was in superb condition, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent, all in all our day was a complete success and we look forward to playing there again.
Michael Cocker, Manchestor, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to Almeria
Valle Del Este and Desert Springs were top class, the course at Roquetas [Playa Serena] was good, but unfortunately we could only do the front 9 twice due to a water leak. The course at Mojacar [Marina Golf] is undergoing major work, so from about hole 4-12 the ground is very rough. The course itself is nice, but until the work is completed it is a bit like a building site !!
Rich Hunter, Nottingham, UK, June 2005

Great Week in Costa del Sol
Had A great week, all the courses [La Cala, Flamingos, Santa Maria, Marbella, Atalaya] were in great condition, there was a hour delay at La Cala due to a shortage of buggies but it did not spoil the day.
Irving Nattrass, Tyne & Wear, UK, June 2005

Good time in Costa del Sol
The golf organisation was great everything worked really well and we had a good time.
Estepona Golf course was very nice quite challenging in parts but not too hard with good changing rooms and lockers
Duquesa however was horrific the front nine was designed by a mountain goat with very narrow fairways clinging to the side of the hill and the fairways sloping excessively down hill away from the buggy paths. The Back nine was much more sensible and whilst everything was okay we wouldn't go back there again. Too many lost balls The changing rooms were okay but they had no lockers The directions to find them were very good and no doubt we will use your facilities again.
David Court, Oxon, UK, June 2005

Golf in Cyprus
Thank you for your email, we had a fab holiday. The courses were really good and especially Aphrodite Hills, extremely professional and excellent services. One of the best courses we've played. The service you provided was also extremely professional and the vouchers enabled us to just pitch up on the course and play with no hassle what’s so ever. Thank you for all your help.
Lisa Mander, East Sussex, June 2005

Superb Golf at La Cala
Both courses [La Cala North and South] were superb, thank you very much indeed. We enjoyed the holiday very much.
Stephen Watson, Bristol, UK, June 2005

Golf at Miraflores
We booked just one round at Miraflores. The course was in nice condition and was quite short but perfect for our requirements as we had a few higher handicappers in our party. Also, it was still a challenging course for the lower handicapper. The staff were very helpful and was a nice relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse. Can I also thank Santiago for his very prompt service in booking the tee-times for me. It was excellent service and everything went very smoothly.
Oliver Horn, UK, June 2005

Santana Well Presented
Thank you for booking our golf at Santana Golf on 27 June 2005. We found the course to be exceptionally well presented and although it has only been open for 18 months it appeared quite mature, not too difficult and very good for holiday golf. The Club House staff were very pleasant and the snacks good value. All in all I would highly recommend this course for golfers of all standards.
Colin Spink, Yorks, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to the Cascais
Everything was lovely [at Quinta da Marinha Golf Resort]; except for my score. Thank you for your arrangement again.
Kei Inaba, Oxon, June 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
We had a fantastic time in Spain, thanks very much, Jim was very helpful setting it up for us. The golf was very good:
El paraiso was a little disappointing; it wasn't in the best condition, apart from the greens which were good.
Monte Mayor was fantastic - all in all the best course we've played, the staff there were extremely friendly and helpful too.
Los Arqueros - very nice course, could have been a bit more welcoming at the golf reception but the starter was very friendly (no course planner was a bit of a grumble tho')
Santa Maria - was very nice as well, lovely condition with some great holes (again they had no course planners - I found a lake which I didn't know was there!!!) As I said we had a great time and will definitely be going back next year - I'm sure we'll be using your services then.
Justin Pearce, Essex, UK, June 2005

Golf in Costa del Sol
Overall everything was fine. El Paraiso was in very poor condition, other 2 [Los Naranjos, Flamingos] were excellent.
Tony Croxford, Merseyside, UK, June 2005

Great Golf in Marbella/Mijas
Just a note to say all courses [Santa Maria, La Cala, Mijas] were great and will be using yourselves again next year.
Wayne Bentley, East Yorkshire, UK, June 2005

Golf in Costa del Sol
The holiday was great. Jim from your San Pedro office was very helpful and I'll be calling him again on or prior to my next visit. La Cala new Europa course was very challenging, but quite excellent. Flamingos was great, but rather expensive. Santana was also good condition and and rather more comfortable for mid to high handicappers. (Also rather more expensive than it should be for this time of year.)
Stephen Langham, Essex, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to Quinta do Lago
Got back yesterday from a really nice break in Portugal, playing on some great courses [Pinheiros Altos, Pinhal, Quinta do Lago South]. All went very well, apart from a delay at the beginning due to problems with the plane leaving Gatwick - thank you for your message re the car hire by the way, which was reassuring. Everything else went like clockwork, thanks to your hard work in making the arrangements. Will be in touch if we decide to do a repeat trip next year.
Simon Hoare, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to San Roque
Thanks for your note, and your for your great help on our trip! We had a fantastic time - beautiful place, great golf courses - a wonderful holiday! We'll be sure to recommend it to others and pass on your name. Thanks again for all your help PS For comments on the [SanRoque Suites] hotel - overall it was great although I woiuld suggest that the rooms are getting a little "tired". Staff and service were very good. Don't know if you know but they identify which rooms the players from the Ryder Cup in '97 stayed in - so I guess you could ask for a specific room (ie. The room that Tiger stayed in) if that's of interest to anyone. I think the European player rooms were better located than the American rooms. As for the golf courses - Valderrama - great, San Roque Old - very good, San Roque New - not as good (but OK - aside from the first couple of holes, it was fairly plain), Alcaidesa - in betweeen San Roque Old and New but spectacular views of the the Med Sea and Gibraltar - surprisingly it has a very low slope rating that didn't seem to go with the course. Hope this helps. Restaurant recommendations - informal outside - Ke at Puerto Sotogrande, great (perhaps more formal dinner) - Restaurante Barbesula
Steve Martin, Ontario, Canada, June 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Just a short note to you about the trip you put together for our group of 12 people. Well it took a lot of planning on your part for the golf courses, accomodations and car rentals, all went perfect. The weather was 85 and sunny every day. The golf courses [Vilamoura Old, Vale do Lobo Royal, Quinta do Lago North and South] that you said to play were all five star. The villas [Vilamoura Villas] with pool worked out real well for our group. There is nothing else to say except it was great. I take 12 guys away every year or 2 and this topped all the others. We have been to Iceland, Finland, Scotland, and 2 years ago we were in Western Canada, Whistler and Vancouver. We will use you again on our next trip. Feel free to give out my name to anyone for a reference. Thanks Again.
Kenny Moskowitz, New York, USA, June 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve and Costa del Sol
As for me everything from you worked perfectly! The bookings were fine the hotel Algarve is a very nice hotel, but is a little old in the rooms, but very clean and the pool and beaches are great. The golf courses are a little hard to find even with your instructions, all the courses were fine except the Gramachio course because of a pending LPGA event, the Flamingo was the best of the courses that we played, but I would recommend that a power cart be part of the deal as all the courses are very hilly. As for Puerto Banus it was very nice the room was very nice, the only thing was to know how to work the washer/dryer combo. Both places are very good for English, but both places do not give the spanish/portugal feel to it, but we understood that coming in to this trip. I would highly recommend your company to other people and I all ready have sent your web site address to a few friends of mine. In terms of a car, I have found a company call Argus Rental Car based in Ireland they saved me over $500-750 dollars CAD on a automatic rental car. When we travel again for a golfing holiday again we will make sure to look you folks up.
Floyd Yamamoto, British Columbia, Canada, June 2005

Note: We work closely with Argus Car Rental. They can be contactsed directly from our Car Hire & Transport Page

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Thanks for all your help. The arrangements, details etc were first class and we will certainly be in touch for future trips. Re courses, the Mijas courses were great (we had played Los Olivos before but not Los Lagos). Alhaurin was scenically beautiful, the facilities were excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. Although the designer is said to be Sevvy, however, I think it was a combination of Walt Disney and Macchiavelli! I did not play badly, struck the ball and putted well but managed to lose 9 balls! - and I still managed 22 stableford points. I am glad we went there but it was a one off visit. Many thanks once again.
Fred Dalgarno, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
The course at Montenmedio was fantastic (immaculate greens and fairways - the bunkers were their usual 'orrible selves, we became well acquainted!)ÊAND we virtually had the course to ourselves. VeryÊgrand looking venue but staff were down to earth and helpful. We did have one minor hiccough when the caddy master was at lunch and an inexperienced young lady managed to organise some hire clubs for us - I got men's clubs and Steve got left handed clubs ...... andÊaren't we the sad onesÊbecause we didn't even notice until we were about to tee off! Just a shame our golf standards didn't match the course!!!Thanks for organising.
Adrienne Shaw, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Many thanks for your e-mail. As you know, you booked me on 2 courses - Los Naranjos and Marbella Club, both of which I have played a number of times previously. Both courses were in good order and I also appreciated the quality of service from your company.
Jonathan Scott Warren, Jersey, June 2005

Santana in excellent condition
All [Mijas, La Cala, La Quinta and Santana] went very smoothly with no problems. I would recommend Santana in particular, nice course, excellent condition, no construction activity.
Mike Bagshaw, Herts, UK, June 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Thanks for the e-mail. We all had a great time, the golf [Quinta do Lago, Vilasol, Palmares, Penina Championship] was excellent, especially Quinta do Lago North. The only downside, if I can call it that was that there was very little sand in the bunkers, which made it a bit of a lottery with the escape shot. For a good golfer, it was a bit on the embarrassing side. Overall though, it was great, and we will be using your services again in the near future, probably at Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago when the South course reopens. Once againÊTHANKS.
Denville Taylor, London, UK, June 2005

La Finca excellent
Thanks for everything. La Finca is an excellent course. The condition of the course at the time of playing was immaculate. The facilities were also good.
Cormac O'Donovan, Co Kildare, Ireland, May 2005

Golf in Costa Blanca
We did indeed enjoy our golfing holiday in Spain, although the weather was bit warmer than we anticipated - 34 deg.C by 10.00am. The tee times arranged through you worked very well with no problems at any of the courses [Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Mosa Trajectum]. I have 2 properties in Pinar de Campoverde which is ideally located for a great number of the courses in the area. I keep the properties for my own use and family and friends many of whom are golfers. I will be recommending your company to my golfing friends for future bookings and no doubt you will be hearing from me in not too distance future. Once again thank you for the excellent service you have provided.
John Male, Hants, UK, May 2005

Lauro Golf Course superb
We had a terrific time at Lauro, the course was superb as was the weather .This was our second year golfing in the region and definitely not our last ,we intend to be back next year at the same time.So it is very likely that i will be calling yourself or Jim to book our golf .Mean time i will be recommending course master to
any one i hear going golfing in Spain.
Gordon Gilchrist, UK, May 2005

Golf in Costa Brava
Thanks again for your help - we hope to be returning again next year (if our good wives allow us ) ! Thanks again. I had no issues with the Voucher for Mas Nou D'Aro which was great. The course itself was also great and I would definitely recommend it, albeit we played it on the 4th day after 3 days of 36 holes and 3 nights of enjoying ourselves until 4 or 5 in the morning so the hills were a little tough !! The other major problem was that it took 6 hours (we had been on the course 4 hours 10 minutes standing on the 14th tee) which is really unacceptable - the fact that there was no course ranger attempting to speed things up certainly didn't help. Out of the 4 courses we played I would rank them as follows:
1. Emporda (actually played both Forest and Links and would recommend others to play both as opposed to sticking to one) ... 5 hour 15 minutes rounds were again at least an hour more than they should be !
2. PGA Cataluyna - again the only real issue here was the fact that both rounds took almost 5 and a half hours each ... the fact that the ranger actually facilitated another 4-Ball on the 10th and let them play out of turn ahead of us, holding us up for an additional 15 minutes, again didn't help.
3. Mas Nou D'Aro
4. Girona (no hold ups and 4 hour 15 minute rounds !) Overall though it was very enjoyable and although we came home quite a few golf balls lighter than going offer we had a great time and have been recommending the experience to anyone foolish enough to ask us about it !! Regards and Thanks again.
John Costello, Co Galway, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Just a short note to say thank you again for your help with arranging golf tee-times for my group the week before last. All three courses were excellent and everyone in the party thoroughly enjoyed playing them. When it comes to organising our next trip, I will certainly contact you, as the service we have had from you has been first class.
Simon Marshall, London, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
We had a wonderful holiday thankyou. It was primarily a family holiday but my husband enjoyed the golf and was very impressed with the [Penina] championship course. The hotel [Le Meridien Penina] was great and the staff extremely helpful. We were also very pleased with the car company that you arranged for us -- there was no waiting at the airport which is a real bonus when you are travelling with small children. We would have no hesitation in booking future holidays or recommending your company to other people. Many thanks for your professionalism.
Phil Valentine, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
A good holiday . Both courses [Montecastillo, Montenmedio] excellant and not busy. we ended up with the smaller ford focus car but just managed to squeeze everything in. Hotel [Montecastillo] had excellant staff and a good restaurant but was virtually empty for alot of the time. Not a top quality hotel but you didnt charge top prices! Ready for a bit of refurbishment.
David Nickerson, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Overall a very good holiday ( I have given your details to a couple of other people who will want to organise golf holidays next year) The hotel, El Cortijo Blanco, was good quality three star, but excellent for what we wanted. The courses [Santa Maria, La Duquesa, Los Arqueros, Rio Real, El Paraiso, Alcaidesa] generally were good, although we were not impressed with Los Arqueros and probably will not go there again The car, and pick up/drop off arrangements, all very satisfactory.
Gordon Watt, Wilts, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
The hotel [Vila Gale Marina], golf courses [Vilasol, Millennium, Pinhal, Vilamoura Old] and overall holiday experience was fantastic - the entire group have expressed this opinion too! So much so, that we are looking for a similar trip for next year.
Russell Watmore, Tyne & Wear, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Just writing to let you know we had an absolutely fabulous time golfing in Spain recently! :o) The Alhaurin hotel was wonderful and the three courses [La Cala North, Alhaurin, Santana] we played were terrific. Absolutely everything went without a hitch, the flights, the car-hire, the hotel [Alhaurin Hotel] and the golf. Many thanks for all your effort, which allowed us to enjoy the break without a worry. I've given your company name to everyone I know who golfs! I will be booking another break with you later in the year. Many thanks once again.
Matthew Taylor, Great Britain, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Just to let you know everything with the holiday went like clockwork, the accommodation [Pyr Fuengirola] was ideally situated in the centre of town and all the courses [Mijas, Santa Maria, Torrequebrada] were expecting us and in excellent condition. So a big thank you from all of the guys on what turned out to be an enjoyable experience for all! The only point I am slightly concerned about was the car hire. When we picked up the cars we were charged for a full tank of petrol for all of the cars (..as per the information given to us), I was then told that if we returned all the cars with a full tank of petrol, my credit card would be refunded with the full amount. All the cars were returned full and I am just waiting confirmation to see if my credit card has been refunded! I will keep you informed! Many thanks yet again, and if you need anybody to recommend your company for a golfing trip in the future, please let me know as we will certainly be using you again!
Derek Ratcliffe, Fife, Scotland, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Once again you and course master came up with the goods, everything went without a hitch, so big thanks to you all. The golf courses [Cabopino, Rio Real, Santana, Monte Mayor, Marbella] were in good condition, however Santana had half the greens hollow tined and although we got free buggys, it did dampen our enthusiasm for the course, most of the group thought it was the least popular during the week, partly due to its shortness in length so maybe worth noting, guess its better for higher handicap players, although they are friendly people. Benabola was fine, we all enjoyed the apartments, clean and with good maid service, even better no charge for parking underneath, a real bonus is being so close to the port itself and a smashing beach, not much noise to disturb anyone through the nights as well. Travelling via Gibralter is a good move, much quieter, one or two points had we known would have made life easier but will for sure go through Gib again. Thanks again, all the best, next one October, yippee !!
Robert Head, Lancs, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Thanks for the email and I should have emailed you earlier. The weather was not the best for the first couple of days! Snow on the hill ( or are they mountains!) behind Fuengirola - I have never seen that before in March. Unfortunately, due to the weather, Mijas was closed on the Wednesday we arrived and thanks to Mijas Golf course for rearranging the extra golf that was suppose to be played on that day, by 4 people, to the following Saturday. I must say Torrequebrada was not so nice! It rained all Thursday night (3rd March) and the Friday, Friday being the day we played. 12 intrepid golfers decided that they would give it a go (as the course was not closed - quite frankly it should have been - all the others were), 8 of which gave up after 11 holes. The course was unplayable with water running down fairways - ankle deep! It wasn't nice and there were only about, at max, 20 people on the course - Us being 12 of them - talk about mad Englishmen! The only thing that annoyed me was people being offered the course at 45 Euro's because of the weather - we had to pay you the price when we booked. Not your fault, but if there is anyway you could get a refund, in part would help, it would be much appreciated. I'll understand if you can't but they told us on the day when we phoned the golf course was closed but being inspected (time 8.30am). They also told us our tee time was 8.48am which according to our confirmation was not the case( I haven't got it to hand but I think it was around 12). I'll leave you to sort that out! Apart from that, everything went well and I am very grateful for all you did. Nobody can predict the weather. By the way, we will be off to Vilamoura, Portugal next year in April 2006. So if you have any offers going let me know. One thing for sure we will book the golf through you. Once again thanks for what you have done for us and I look forward to using your company in the future, even though Torrequebrade let the side down!
Richard Williams, Somerset, UK, March 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
We had an excellent holiday. Everything went according to the agenda you produced for my group. The car was right at the airport waiting for us, with no hidden costs etc. The villa [Vilamoura Villas] was especially good with a very high level of accomadation and great swimming pool, also ideally located to shops and bars, not to mention the golf courses. The courses [Pinhal, Millennium, Old] were also what we expected with all our tee times being met, and again no hidden costs. Overall a great experience and we can't wait to book you again next year. Please don't hesitate to use my name as a recomendation for your company. I am already telling all my friends and colleagues about you.
Ian Colton, Swindon, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Cyprus
Thank you to Course Master Golf for arranging what turned out to be an excellant golfing experience on Tsada & Secret Valley. We had no problems with our tee off times, infact the golf clubs were expecting us. Both courses were challenging, of the highest standard ( especially Tsada ) & very enjoyable. I appreciate the good work that Course Master Golf did on my behalf ( competitive pricing per round, 3 rounds in a split week ) I will have no hesitation calling on your services again ( which i hope will be soon ) I will certainly recommend Course Master Golf to my friends and family.
Derek Evans, Glasgow, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Many thanks for your kind message and yes we did enjoy our holiday in Alvor - we had 7 days of glorious sunshine and every thing was perfect - we thoroughly enjoyed our golf and as usual the Gramacho and Pinta course were in perfect condition. I lookforward to going again and hope fully will be seeking a good rate for this coming October!!! Please convey my thanks and best wishes to Ron McKail and thankyou all for making a realy good happy holiday
Neisha Beasley, Hants, UK, May 2005

Costa del Sol Courses in Excellent Condition
The 5 golf courses [La Reserva Sotogrande, Almenara, Valderrama] we played were in excellent condition and the service at each one was first class, only problem is we were not informed before hand that Almenara’s club house was closed foe renovations. Another point was you quoted the price for La Reserva to include lunch but that wasn't the case. Never mind we had a great time and will be back in May 2006. Will contact you when we are firm on the dates.
Paul Thornberry, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
Thanks the hotel [La Zenia] was superb and the 3 golf courses [Villamartin, Las Ramblas, La Finca] were top class hopefully be getting in touch early next year to book again.
Mark Fowler, West Lothian, UK, May 2005

Golf in Costa Blanca
From the first day to the last we had a wonderful golfing experience we shall never forget.
Sunday 21st May 05 , Villamartin. very quick receptive greens and lush fairways made this course a joy to play, some may slate the fairways for being patchy but this was confined to just of the teeing area. If you can't hit a tee shot 60 yards, take up bowls or play preferred lies, 83 degrees of glorious spring sunshine remember. 9/10 score.
Monday 22nd May, La Marquesa. The golf course is set at the bottom of a gorge so space is limited. We found the course to be bland, up and down for the first nine but the back nine has some attractive holes. The greens were fast but not as receptive as Villamartin, chipping back on a few early holes. 6/10 score.
Tuesday 23rd May, Las Ramblas. They must have lost a few JCBs building this scorpion of a golf course. Some will love it, some who ran out of balls will hate it. This is the sternest test of golf we have ever played and cant wait to play again, we loved it. Elevated tees hitting down to fairways that disappear round Spanish pines and other big bloody poplars 180/200 yards of the tee, absolutely thrilling, plus 25mph gusting wind. Tees on the back nine were very disappointing but the greens were fast and receptive, some cracking par threes. More balls please??? Score 7/10.
Thursday 25th May. La Finca. This is the course we should have played twice but we live and learn I suppose. We drove for about 25 minutes from Villamartin through orange and lime groves to reach La Finca, we turned the corner then up to the brow of a hill and were amazed by what we were seeing through our night on the tile eyes, La Finca is a golfing oasis. Lush fairways, fast receptive greens, dog legs left & right plus an arogant take me on par four over water 17th, forget aspirin, you cant get better cure for a Sangria hangover. One downside is the vast building program which is taking place around the satellite holes being 3,4,5,6th. When this development is finished I want to stay here, until bowling beckons at least. Score Perfect 10.
I hope this will give some folk an eleven handicappers insight of what to expect. Coursemastergolfholidays we will be using your splendid services again in 2006. The golf vouchers worked a treat.
Martin Johnstone, East Lothian, UK. May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
The course [Los Arqueros], people and your company were all excellent and I have passed on your web site to many of my friends. I should be charging commission. Thank you very much for some enjoyable golf.
Phil Capstick, Wigan, UK, May 2005

Los Arqueros very good
Golf course [Los Arqueros] was very good, your arrangements went without any hitches and I will be happy to use your services again in future. I have passed your details on to a number of my friends.
Andrew White, Glasgow, UK, May 2005

Mijas Golf in Excellent Condition
Both the courses booked at Mijas were in excellent condition and are ideal courses for holiday golf. Although there is a fair bit of water on the Lagos course (surprise ??) the fairways are wide and theÊrough not too punishing. Excellent food and service at the Clubhouse.
Patrick McDade, Glassgow, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Everything went fine. Accomodation [Park Plaza Apartments] was very spacious if slightly worn and the sea view was brilliant.
Santa Clara was very well presented and in excellent condition. Greens and course in general was superb but just a little too short for my liking - many holes just being a drive and a wedge. Buggies had coolers and club cleaning. 8/10.
Santa Maria was disappointing with the course also short and tees in poor condition. Greens slow compared to Santa Clara. 6/10
Parador was a pleasant surprise. Very flat but decent length holes and very fast greens. Fairways in imaculate condition. Just needed tidying up in places. Planes obviously coming in overhead all the time but more than compensated for by the variety and colours of the local birds. 7/10.
Peter Jones, UK, May 2005

Top Class Golf at Mijas
Many thanks for your help in booking our golf in Mijas. We thought that both courses were excellent but Lagos Course just had the advantage. My playing partner managed a net 68 playing off 6 at Lagos which was top class golf. Also enjoyed the Restaurant at Mijas , food good and very reasonably priced. We will certainly be in touch again in the future.
Bev Stokes, Sheffield, UK, May 2005

Golf in Costa del Sol
I was delighted with the help I received in booking courses even at relatively short notice. All three courses were great, with San Roque and Rio Real being the best of the three (we also played at Santana). In all, it was a great few days, we were made to feel very welcome wherever we played and all of my group enjoyed their trip. Next time I am planning a trip, I will certainly give you a call and would be happy to recommend you to other friends/colleagues.
Simon Marshall, London, UK, May 2005

Golf in Costa Blanca
I thought that VillaMartin golf was over priced for the facilities they offered. Car Parking is very difficult and the changing rooms were basic and needed repair and rennovation. The course itself was well maintained and suited a mid to high handicapper. I also played at Alicante Golf (with a society) was very impressed with course and its facilities, even though it was quite difficult to find. However your directions to the course were spot on (if only I followed them).
Brian Allen, Conventry, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Everything [Le Meridien Penina Hotel, San Lorenzo Golf, Palmares, Vilasol, Boavista, Morgado] was superb thanks for arranging everything.
Graham Connor, Midlothian, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
I am back today from my extended holiday in Andalusia and Portugal which was a great success. We very much enjoyed our stay at the [Suites Hotel at] San Roque Club and may well consider another trip in the future. The rooms were very adequate, if somewhat dated, and the food excellent. We did not play San Roque New Course because the reports we had were unfavourable, especially in respect of the poor greens. We loved San Roque Old Course and surprisingly Santa Clara. Almenara was not so popular because it was so hilly and narrow. Valderamma greens were like ice and for that reason only it was too difficult for even our best golfers to return a good score. Please let Jim know that we much appreciated his attentive help in trying to organise Sotogrande instead of Almenara and it was my only regret that my friends were not prepared to get up early to play at 8.30am on Friday. We are thinking about going to play at Pau in France next year and wonder whether you have any suggestions. Very many thanks for your patience in making changes to our arrangements without complaint. I am sure you know how difficult it is to co-ordinate a group of male golfers!
Miles Meredith Jones, Cheshire, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Apologies, I should have dropped you a line earlier but as always it’s been chaotic since I got back. Everything went great, the hotel was fine, nothing spectacular but more than adequate. The staff friendly & helpful. The hotel [Vila Gale Marina] did become very busy from the Thursday when it seemed to fill up with OAP’s! The bus scenario was excellent. Definitely the way to go as no messing around with hire cars, finding directions or worrying about drink driving. Airport-hotel-airport buses were great & organizing buses hotel-golf-hotel was quick & simple. To be recommended.
My golf [Vilamoura Old, Vilasol, Vilamoura Laguna, Vilamoura Millennium, Vilamoura Pinhal] could have been better (as always) but the courses were great. No complaints. Laguna was probably the poorest (but still good) & we played that twice! Pinhal, Vila Sol & especially The Old Course were marvelous. Obviously, the warm sunny weather made it all. Many thanks. We all had a great time & look forward to doing it again next year.
Martin Gosbell, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Another superb holiday, the courses were excellent as usual, Vilamoura is becoming livelier and livelier every year. All in all a top holiday. Unbelievably the Old Course was the worst course we played all year, and this was due to the fact that the other courses were so good, rather than that there was anything wrong with it. Additionally I am glad that we allowed an extra hour to get to all courses, from the recommended pick up times, as we would not have had enough time to get everyone ready and on the courses if we had not done this. I would have thought that I will be dropping you a mail around October time to book a similar break! Chris Asher, East Sussex, UK, May 2005

Smooth Golf in Costa del Sol
Everything went smoothly with your golf reservations.
Parador - Very Good, mature and in an excellent condition.
Cabopino - Good, Quite Hilly, decent condition and good views.
Santana - disappointing, very long round (5 hours), too many people on it and overpriced. Clubhouse disappointing. La cala is much better.
Dave McCann, Liverpool, UK, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
The golf we booked through you at El Paraiso and Atalaya Old Course was both successful and enjoyable thankyou. Both courses were very professional and organised and the golf was excellent. My only negative comment would be that El Paraiso paired me with two other golfers who were only playing 9 holes which left me playing the second 9 on my own. All in all however very enjoyable, thank you.
George Doughty, Spain, May 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. In a nutshell everything went fine. We were booked on both courses with no problems at all. Villamartin was a beautiful course let down by the somewhat “tired” clubhouse, changing facilities and bar. Las Ramblas was a blast..very scenic holes, very difficult and very enjoyable... again the changing facilities and bar didnt do justice to the course but you cant have everything...hope to do business with you again.

Good Golf in Costa Blanca
Everything went very well on our holiday. Comments on courses:
El Saler was the very best. I'd played it before but in the winter. It was superb and great value for money.
La Sella was good but is dificult and probably a bit of a problem for high handicappers.
El Bosque is a hidden gem! There was practically no one on it, certainly no tourists.
La Finca was very enjoyable and in very good condition. Quite hilly so a bit of a trudge if you are walking. Huge amount of building going on s don’t know what it will be like in a few years
Oliva Nova is a beautiful course. Flat with lots of water and very well kept.
Villamartin was the only disappointment and in all fairness not really very bad, jst the worst we played. Shows signs of being overplayed and an absolutely ridiculous blind hole to start with!
We were very hapy with your service, in particular the prompt response from your colleague who sorted things out at El Saler when I forgot to bring the voucher.
Stewart Rothnie, Aberdeenshire, UK, May 2005

Enjoyable Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
We certainly enjoyed our holiday in Spain and the weather was perfect. We were a little nervous about playing La Marquesa, we first saw it a few years ago and it was not very nice, however after the first few holes we were very impressed, especially the elevated tees. We are looking forward to playing it again next year. La Finca was a fantastic as usual, we are never disappointed. Las Ramblas was as challenging as ever, and for once I did not lose a ball on both occasions we played the course, for me quite an achievement.

Stunning views on Flamingos Golf
Los Flamingos was very nice. I liked the layout, plenty of water and the views were stunning on some holes. Only drawbacks is that the course - and the development itself - is quite young, so it will be a few years before it's grown in and looking it's best. Plus, the practice area is pretty lame - you hit balls into a net near the first tee - which doesn't do a course this nice justice. Also ended up playing Los Naranjos after we had trouble getting onto Marbella Club Golf... Los Naranjos was nice too. Liked the layout of the front nine more than the back nine overall. Tight fairways, some pretty layouts and not too impossible. Greens were in pretty good shape too. And they have a good practice area!

Golf in the Eastern Algarve
We are sorry that our holiday is over so quickly. Many thanks for the excellent job you did in booking our tee times. The courses [Pinhal, Benamor, Laguna, Quinta do Lago, Quinta da Ria, Millennium] were as always fantastic. One small exception was that we had booked to play on Quinta de Ria which we were looking forward to playing for a changeÊinstead of Cima, but they had just top-dressed the greens. They did however advise that we played Quinta de Cima (which we did) and it was in perfect condition. Pity about that but it gives us the incetive to come back and play Quinta de Ria next year. Everything else ran perfectly. Again many thanks.
Alan Warland, Oxford, UK, May 2005

All-inclusive Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
We had another successful trip. The hotel [Caledonia] was first class and the courses [Atalaya Old, Marbella, Santa Maria] were up to there usual high standard everything went to plan. The only comment I would like to make is that the Marbella golf course is very tight and suitable only for low handicap golfers. We will be going again with you next year and will be in touch in a few weeks for more information we are talking about going to Portugal next year. Many Thanks.
Duncan Prince, Lancs, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Montecastillo, Jerez de la Frontera, Spain
Everything went very well. The golf course [Montecastillo] and hotel [Montecastillo] are both superb and with a new motorway to Jerez the journey time from Malaga is only two hours. Thanks for all your help.
Peter Davies, UK, April 2005

Wonderful Golf Holiday to Albufeira. Algarve
Thank you for organising our trip for us, we all had a wonderful time and we had no problems at all. Tee times [Laguna, Pinhal, Pinta, Salgados], buggies, directions and car/hotel [Cerro Alagoa] and golf vouchers were fine. It all went very smoothly except for us getting lost a lot which added to the trip. Many thanks and I will be recommending your services.
Bob Thomas, London, UK, April 2005

Carvoeiro Courses in Top Condition
We all had a great time, the weather was beautiful, the courses [Pinta and Gramacho] were in top condition and the hotel [Alvor Praia] was really 5 star. (I'm not sure we could afford to stay there under normal circumstances). Overall, we all had a fantastic holiday and we all want to go again. Thank you all for making the arrangements, we will certainly book with you again.
Bill Mitchell, Wilts, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Just to let you know that we returned yesterday from Portugal after our week long golfing holiday @ Vilamoura. I would like to pass on our total satisfaction with the holiday and the members of the party are already asking questions about where we will go next year! We shall be more than happy to book a trip in 2006 with yourselves as the entire trip was so smooth and seamless without one single hitch. Congratulations to you all and we look forward to doing business with you again.
Neil Roulston, Hillsborough, UK, April 2005

Excellent holiday arrangements
We all enjoyed our Holiday, arrangements excellent and courses [Marbella, El Paraiso, Mijas Los Olivos] great. Caledonian Hotel very good venue.
Huw Dixon, Carms, UK, April 2005

Golf at Villamartin
We had a fantastic time, good food, lots of beer and loads of sunshine. The golf course [Villamartin] was in magnificent condition, Fairways were cut tight and the greens were in lovely condition, The only complaint and it is only a small complaint was that the 4 ball group in front of us were very slow taking over 51/2 hours to complete the course, Fortunately this did not take anything away from our day and when I go back over again I will book this course with yourselves. Many thanks.
Vincent O'Reardon, Dublin, Ireland, April 2005

La Cala Courses Outstanding
TheÊthree courses at La Cala are outstanding, quite the best I have played. I think they are trying to copy the La Manga complex but it is much much better than that. Every hole is magnificent and you end up running out of superlatives. Even if you did not play golf you would enjoy the walk as the scenery is magnificent. Having said that a buggy is a must on all three course, particularly the North and Europa courses - don’t even consider walking!
La Duquesa is also good if a little under disrepair around the fairways due to the extensive building work ongoing presently. Again some magnificent holes, particularly the 17th and 18th. Good facilities too.
Mijas Lagos
looked simple was actually quite hard. Very flat and walkable with plenty of water and moreÊsand than Blackpool Beach! It was very noisy on the front nine again due to building work nearby. Nice facilities again. Hope you find this interesting. I am going to put a link to you on our website, hope that is OK.

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Just came back home from our vacation in Alvor, Portugal. Will tell you that we are very, very satisfied about our vacation with you as our host! Everything went very fine...good living, good car and no problems at all with our golf [Pinta, Gramacho]!! Thank you very much for good arrangement, we will definatly book again with your company!!! Very happy regards and thanks from.

Golf Holiday to the Penina, Algarve
We returned home from Portugal on 26 April where we had a most enjoyable holiday. The Penina hotel, golfing [Penina Resort Course] and car hire arrangements were excellent. Thank you.
Barry Joynes, Leeds, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Portals Nous, Mallorca
Yes, we did enjoy the holiday. The golf courses [Bendinat, Santa Ponsa, Poniente, Son Vida] were excellent. The weather was reasonable. We were able to play in shorts, so it wasn’t cold cold. Although we experienced snow on the tops of the mountains one night, we did need a sweater or jacket when going out in the evening. Our hotel rooms [at Marina Portals Hotel] were on the tenth floor, giving us a good view over Portals and the sea. The staff and food were excellent although we went out most nights, which is what we like doing. There was only one problem, considering the size of the hotel, 186 rooms? there was only parking places for eighteen vehicles, so it was a bit of a fight for places! It was also a nice walk down into Puerto Portals, where all the classy expensive boats are. You know, to see how the other half live! Well, once again, we did enjoy the holiday. Thanks once again for your efforts. What will happen in twelve months time we don’t know, as Eileen will be the Lady Captain of our golf club, but we will be in touch.
Brian Stott, Lancs, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Badajoz, Spain
I wish to tell you how nice and helpful the people at Guadiana Golf and at the Confortel Badajoz are. My wife’s golf-clubs were sent to Malaga instead of Lisbon. It took 50 hours to get then back. This could have spoilt the first two days of our golf-holiday totally! The nice people at Guadiana Golf offered her to borrow (not rent) golf-clubs! Wonderful people! The people at Confortel Badajoz worked hard to get information from the Airline (Iberia) where the clubs were and to have them delivered in Badajoz. The golf-course is very good and not so many people playing, so it is easy to play fast and thus you can play 36 holes without any problem. We have been here before and we will come back!

Poor Road Signage in Costa del Sol
I refer to pervious correspondence and now write to thank you for booking the golf for our recent trip to South of Spain. The directions your sheets give are excellent just a pity about the very very poor directions the Spanish Road System gives to the motorist when turning off main roads!!. It really is a shocking method of signposting. The golf courses were all excellent and we really enjoyed the trip.
Mr Cameron, April 2005

Golf in Costa del Sol
Just thought I'd drop you a quick note to thank you for your help in arranging our golf trip 15-18 April. The courses [La Quinta, La Cala, Monte Mayor] were all excellent, although Monte Mayor claimed most of our golf balls (“possibly the hardest course in Europe” according to Golf World magazine - they weren’t far wrong!) Anyway, I have some friends from the Isle of Man who are organising a similar trip in May, so I have passed on your contact details on to them. Perhaps this will lead to a few more bookings and you can arrange an extra discount for me when we look to return next year!
Juan Costain, Isle of Man, UK, April 2005

Great Week in the Algarve
As usual we had a great time, the only problem we had was on the [Vilamoura] old course, they are trying to over load the course and we spent the whole round waiting a very disappointing round .But it was made up by the Quinta de lago course what a great venue, As usual the hotel [Vila Gale Marina] was first class, and because of the organisation another great week, many thanks from all the lads.
Colin Farrelly, Hampshire, UK, April 2005

Fantastic Holiday to the Algarve
We had a fantastic holiday, the golf [Vilamoura Laguna, Vilamoura Pinhal] and hotel [Vila Gale Marina] were excellent and the organization within Portugal was first class. We were also very fortunate with the weather 75-80 everyday and without a drop of rain. We look forward to contacting Coursemaster for our next golf outing. If you do produce brochures I would be very interested in being added to your mailing list. If not we will contact you in the future for recommendations as I did on this occasion. Once again thanks very much for organizing a great holiday.

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
We did indeed enjoy our holiday! The appartment [Monte Duquesa] was fantastic, and the resort itself, La Duquesa, was satisfactory. The golf courses [La Duquesa, Estepona, La Ca–ada] themselves were very good, especially Estepona. If I have one tiny criticism, it is that the first course we played, Duquesa itself, was very hard. Maybe it would have been better to break us in with one of the others first, but that is mainly due to our poor playing standard rather than any fault of the course itself. I will certainly be booking with you again in the future, should we go on another golf holiday, and that looks quite likely. We were all very pleased with our week in Spain. Well done and keep up the good work.
Ian Bradbury, Dublin, Ireland, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Orando, Florida
We had a great time. The accommodation [Highlands Reserve Villas] was fine as were the golf courses [Highlands Reserve, Ridgewood Lakes, Harmony Golf, Celebration, Championsgate National, Championsgate International]. Ironically the one we liked least was the home course at Highland Reserve. It was a bit bland although not too bad for our first day. The only other point is the distance from the accommodation to the bars etc of Orlando. This is not really a major issue but it may be worth noting for the younger groups who travel there. All in all a great holiday and thanks very much for all the help you gave me getting it sorted.
Derek Forbes, Herts, UK, April 2005

Golf in the Algarve
We had great time in Portugal. The golf [Vale do Lobo Royal, Quinta do Lago South, Vilamoura Victoria] was fantastic. We particularly enjoyed Quinta sud. I appreciate your decision to reimbourse some money for Victoria in Villamoura. I will use your company again if necessary.
Thierry Demé, Paris, France, May 2005

Costa Blanca Courses in Excellent Condition
All courses [Villamartin, Alenda, Mosa Trajectum, Las Ramblas] were in excellent condition. Mosa Trajectum was a very difficult course. All courses had no problems with the vouchers. We did find Alenda very difficult to find from your directions so maybe you could do with improving the road directions on your vouchers? Apart from that everything was fabulous!
Alan Vaughan, Bolton, UK, April 2005

Golf in Cyprus
The courses in Cyprus were all very different. I would have to say that perhaps the most welcoming of these was Tsada which gave a very homely type welcome and was in many ways typical of my club here in Wokingham. Secret Valley was the first course that I played and was also very enjoyable. Both these were challenging, without being too difficult and would, I am sure, appeal to anyone who played them I would strongly recommend that you played these first rather than Aphrodite Hills, unless you are a single handicap player. Aphrodite Hills was, in my opinion, a typical American resort course, but I felt it lacked the welcome that one gets when you play in America, say in Myrtle Beach. The course is run much more along the lines of a profit making organisation and as such it does not really give you the chance to enjoy playing it as much as one should. Having played a number of the top courses in Spain I would say they have much to learn about how to be a little more hospitable and considerate to those who fly to Cyprus to play on their course. All the courses were beautifully maintained and I would encourage anyone to give Cyprus a go as a golfing destination. We had no difficulty finding the courses, but I would recommend looking up where they are by using a good map of Cyprus and also make sure you allow plenty of time to get to your destination, especially Tsada which is up in the hills. The other two are easy to find as they are signed off the main freeway that goes from Paphos to Limasoll. I hope that my comments are of some use, and thank you for organising the various dates and venues.

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol and Algarve
Pleased to inform that your arrangements for us went off without a hitch. We enjoyed our vacation very much! The accommodations worked out very well; the Atalaya Park Hotel grew on us over time, it was easy to see where this old girl had been quite a resort in her day. We did get our ocean view room as requested with two single beds, the only possible complaint was the room air conditioning didn't work and the room got very warm during the late afternoon. The staff were competent but not overly friendly, nor helpful, especially about the air conditioning. We had the maid and mini bar service come into the room on two different occasions, when the do-not disturb sign was out, my sense was that management would only allow them so much time for their chores as a result of the property being almost empty. The breakfast here was very good, the meals in the Italian restaurant were also very good, and the staff in all of the restaurants were pleasant. The beach at Atalaya, and in Costa del Sol in general were much less than we expected, although Puerto Banus was an exception. The golf was good for the most part, although the drought had taken some toll on the courses here. We were both glad we had played the Monte Mayor course from picturesque setting perspective, but from a golfers view; it is one of the most gimmicky courses that I have ever played and we were quite disappointed in this aspect of the course. Atalaya grew on us the second time around, we played the Old Course twice as opposed to the plan. El Parasio is a good course for our money. The Algarve Hotel was beautiful, the ocean view and beach was great and the food at the hotel was very good, staff seemed helpful and friendly. The air conditioning here was no great shakes either, not sure what they do when it's 40c out. The drought has been harder on the Algarve courses, the fairway grass in in very poor shape as a result, I had to look past the lack of green grass to see what potential these courses really had. We overheard several conversations about water rationing going on in Portugal outside of the resorts. We thought the layout of the courses that we played and the courses in general to be good value for our money in the Algarve. One other minor upgrade I would suggest, the directions to the courses in the Algarve should be referenced from A22, the N125 is not well signed nor easy to use, or easy to find, especially when traveling through a town, all of the exits on A22 have numbers on them. Carvoeiro is well sign posted, if you know that the course is at the Pestana development, Carvoerio Golf is in small print on the signs. While I'm on the subject of Pinta Golf, it's hard to imagine a golf course with more construction on it than the front nine of the Pinta Course, I don't think that there is a square inch that doesn't have some work going on! In closing I have to say that I would use your service again and would recommend you to others, I remain very impressed with how well you did given the limited amount of time that I gave you to make the arrangements.
Jim Van Camp, Calgary, Canada, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Estepona
The holiday was fantastic. The hotel [Caledonia] was very good and all the golf courses [El Paraiso, Los Arqueros, La Ca–ada, Marbella] were of a very high standard. The best course by far was the Marbella golf and country club. One thing that you may want to improve on was the maps. The first course took us about 3 hours to find and in the end we had to tee off 2 hours late - which luckily wasn't a problem for the caddy master. We had tried to get a map at the car hire place but they had run out so I don't know if as part of the package you could include a map in the future. Apart from that it was a great holiday and we will be using your company next year.
Glyn Wiseman, Bucks, UK, April 2005

Golf Society’s Holiday to Costa del Sol
Yes, we had a great time in Spain. Thanks to all at CMG, especially you. The Caledonia Aparthotel was great. The rooms were nice (although a kettle would have been handy) and the food was of a very good standard with plenty of variety. The staff were courteous and friendly, and the drinks were free flowing (although I believe they have stopped doing 'all inclusive' now. One thing to bear in mind for the future though, is if you have a party of greater than say 25-30 golfers book with you, they will probably need 2 coaches for the airport transfers as there is an awful lot of luggage generated by that amount of people. Fortunately, the coach company sorted us out on arrival, and your Marbella representative sorted out the return trip. The coaches were modern and clean and the drivers were on time and were very helpful. We did a collection of 1 Euro each every day, which seemed to have the drivers queuing for our trips.
Santa Maria golf course was fantastic. It was presented well, our tee off times were organised well and we had a great welcome. It was challenging, but not too difficult for a group with a variety of handicaps. I would recommend this course to all your customers.
Los Arqueros was a beautifully presented and manicured course with excellent facilities. In general though, it was too difficult a course for our group (including me). I would not recommend this course for the general golfer, but just for the masochistic lower handicap golfer.
La Quinta was the jewel in the crown. Excellent facilities, well organised tee times and the course was immaculate. We played courses 'B' and 'C'(there are 3 nine holes) and they were superb (I've been told that the 'A' course is really tight with houses/villas close on either side). I would recommend a visit to this course to all your customers.
Estepona. The course itself was of a very good standard, although not as good as the other 3. This I think is due to it being a public access course. There was a mix up in out tee off times (their fault), although they did mix things around a little to accommodate us. We did however run into what is known as a couple of groups of ‘Scuffers’ who held us up for a while.
The threatened Malaga Baggage Handlers strike didn't materialise, so all in all everybody who went on the trip has nothing but praise. I'm sure that we will book with you again when the next trip comes around. Until then, I would like to thank you for your efforts.
Paul Rees, Carmarthenshire, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Mallorca
Hotel [Punta Rotja],weather, food, hire car, golf courses [Canyamel, Capdepera, Pula] all excellent. The hire car may have been cheeper as a full tank of diesel is paid for and it was still 60% after 4 days, but this is only a minor niggle.
Harry Stafford, Co Durham, UK, April 2005

Golf in Costa Blanca
Thanks. As usual every thing went very well regarding the Golf Booking. Thanks for your help again.
El Bosque:- One of the jewels in the crown with regards to golf course's on the Costa Blanca. Excellent golf course.
La Sella:- As usual in very good condition and a great course to play
Alicante: Not in the best condition at the moment and there were two temporary greens which we not told about but still very good
El Plantio:- The course was ok, not as good as the other three but sadly some of the players in the course were simply unable to play golf. We followed a group of 4 Scandinavian people who good not play golf !!!. On may occasions they had the opportunity to call us through but sadly their etiquette was about as good as their golf skills. Over 5 3/4 hours.
Bill Woodall, West Yorkshire, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
All courses [Alicante, Bonalba, El Plantio] played were fanatastic well manicured greens, fairways and tees. Clubhouses and facilities were 5 star compared to what we experience in Scotland.very well stocked pro shops on apar with what I have experience around europe. After playing Alicante G.C Seve Ballesteros IS NO LONGER MY GOLFING HERO.He has designed a very clever course, it will benefit graetly from an aesthetic point of view when all the housing development is complete. My favourite was El Plantio mainly due to the superb facilities and it was a true “country club” with no residential developments around it. Bonalba was another cleverly designed course but lacked the beauty of El Plantio.
Malcolm McGregor, Kilbarchan, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
Golf course [Alicante] very enjoyable . The course was in good condition but the pace of play was very slow and we didn’t complete our round of golf on the second day .

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Thanks for the message. We really enjoyed our holiday and everything went very well. We liked the hotel [Atalaya Park Hotel], our room was very nice and all the other arrangements like car rental and tee off times [Atalaya Old, Santa Maria, Los Arqueros, Los Narnajos] went very smoothly. No problems at all. And also the weather favoured as - pure sunshine all the week long! (The only thing which was somehow difficult, was driving there - we did not always quite understand the logic of driving there and took some extra rounds - but I think that you can't do much for that!). It has been pleasure to cooperate with you and I'm sure that we will use your services also in the future.
Timo Savinen, Finland, April 2005

Costa del Sol Courses in Good Condition
Thanks for your e-mail. Everything worked well and all courses [Los Naranjos, Los Flamingos, El Paraiso, Rio Peal, Monte Mayor, Santa Maria, La Quinta] were in good condition and staff friendly. As we (or more accurately I) like to get to the course in good time we were often offered earlier start times to save us hanging around, so we were first out at Monte Mayor (08.00) and 08.15 at Santa Maria!. Only good memories.
Norman Turner, Kent, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol

Everything was as we expected, good courses [Los Arqueros, La Duquesa] each with excellent facilities, no problems whatsoever (except my golf !)

Golf Holiday to Mallorca
Thanks for your e-mail. We had a very enjoyable holiday and the golf courses [Santa Ponsa, Poniente, Son Vida] were fine. The greens at santa ponsa were not as good as they have been on previous visits but they were perfectly acceptable. Son Vida was in the best condition by far and we really enjoyed our game there. We are planning a trip for next year same time and venue probably for 16 and i will be in touch again to get tee times booked etc. Thanks for your help.
Mark Murray, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Mallorca
All the courses were fine. Andratx was excellent, Bendinat was good although we played from the forward tees, and Santa Ponsa was very nice. Most enjoyable, bookings all correct - no complaints - well done!

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
Firstly can I thank the team at coursemastergolfholidays for making the booking process easy, efficient and good value for money. I simply turned up at each course with my squad of players and the registration process was made simple using the vouchers you provided. None of the courses asked for a handicap certificate but we had some forged ones ready in any case! Here is what I thought of each course:
Las Ramblas: The toughest test we had all week and the best greens. The Bermuda grasses were really starting to work their magic in the hot temperatures and made the putting surfaces a joy to play on. The tee boxes and fairways could have been better and I suspect they would be in July & Aug. This course is incredibly tight and requires a well placed tee shot off every tee. The difficulty factor is that it's hard to see the right shot, let alone play it!
Vilamartin: A nice parkland course with some interesting holes. Lacked some of the quality we expected from this Spanish open venue and the greens were a little disappointing. On entrance to the course, you stroll past fountains and statues that give the resort a touch of elegance and style. The 17th is a good hole but I can not see how Seve has rated it as the best par 3 in Spain.
El Plantio: Hidden in the mountainous region of Alicante, this beautiful oasis is a real golfing treat. The clubhouse and pro shop facilities are fantastic and modern - like a 5 star hotel. The course itself has everything - rolling hills, water falls, quality greens, lakes and fantastic scenery of the area. The course is not too difficult but I managed to struggle with it and if you do manage to get to the 17th tee with a good score - beware! This is the signature hole and an island green awaits the second shot. Even if you repeat my effort and hit your Sunday best off the tee, a par is not guaranteed! - I walked off the hole with a 7 and haven't had a good night's sleep since.
Alicante Golf: The most difficult aspect of this course is finding the bloody thing! What it makes it even harder is when you try to play it on a public holiday when half the roads are closed and the other half are busy with people holding sticks! I think you could put better directions on your vouchers and web site! The course has a good design with an interesting shape and structure to most of the holes, hardly surprising considering the great Seve applied his mind to the design. The test is not too difficult for most players but don't expect quality greens and fairways. The course is surrounded by buildings and has a 'city golf' feel to it. The green fee was quite expensive in comparison to the quality and I am afraid to say it is unlikely I will play this course again. However, it was still enjoyable and I would always recommend that you use a buggy as the walk between holes can be quite long!
Richard O'Connor, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to the Costa del Sol
The two courses we played,Santa Maria and Torrequebrada were fantastic. Thanks for your help, once again. I will be in touch again soon. Gary Woodward, Lancs, UK, April 2005

Golf courses [Bonalba, Alicante, Alenda] were good, arrangements by yourself was top class, all of our party comment about how smooth it went. Will be booking again with yourself.

Golf in Valencia
The coarses were excellent - exspecially El bosque, the only problem was the travelling and cost of taxi to the Meditteraeneo. But we all had a great time.
Ian Tomley, Powis, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday in Alicante
We had a pleasant stay in Spain. All the golf courses [La Marquesa, El Plantio, Alicante] were good. The favorite became El Plantio although we had a small problem picking the correct exit from the higway as we came from the south.
Are Røsnes, Norway, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
Las Ramblas is a beautiful golf course and was our favourite. Although not particularly long in distance you need to be very accurate off the tee as you are sometimes driving large revines. My advice is to take plenty of golf balls. The course is very popular, so expect a 5 hour round, and I would definitely recommend taking a buggy. Villa Martin is also in good condition. Most golfers will prefer this course as it is more open and not as difficult. The greens were slightly faster and very hard to read, but all in all this was a better course for us 3 mid handicapper golfers. We will definitely be returning to these courses again and also Campoamor. For your information we were told not to book Campoamor as the fairways were in a poor state, but we took a drive up to the course and it looked in ok condition to me.

Golf Holiday to Vila Sol
Vila Sol - very good indeed. Played off the championship tees - no problem. Tough course in very good condition. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
FLEW IN EARLY TODAY (WITH REGRET) JUST HAD A FAB 8 DAY STAY AT THE 5 STAR TIVOLI VILAMOURA. QUITE SIMPLY, "BRILLIANT". THE HOTEL WAS AMAZING, SUNSHINE EVERY DAY, THE COURSES 1ST CLASS, AND MY GOLF [Vilamoura Old, Vale do Lobo Ocean, Pinhal, Quinta do Lago]??? WELL, WE WONT GO THERE! I CAN HONESTLY SAY NOT ONE THING WENT WRONG ,OR NOT ONE COMPLAINT, AND THAT IS DOWN TO THE WONDERFUL ORGANISATION OF COURSEMASTER. THANKYOU TO YOU ALL, WE WILL BE BACK IN TOUCH AFTER OUR SUMMER TO SORT OUR BREAK AGAIN WITH YOU. I PASSED ON ALL YOUR COMPANYS DETAILS TO MANY GOLFERS THERE ,WHO HAD NOWHERE NEAR THE DEAL AND SERVICE YOUR COMPANY SUPPLIED! WISHING YOU ALL THE VERY BEST FOR THE FUTURE.

We were very pleased with the two courses at Penha Longa, and hope to be back next spring Thank you for the reservations and your services.

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Just to say a big thanks for another fabulous golf trip. Everything went as expected and the whole party really enjoyed it. The Caledonia Apart/ hotel was great,Êbrand new, very clean and the staff friendly.ÊA lot of new development going on near by but didn't cause a problem. Santa Maria and Rio Real were absolutely fabulous and in great condition. Cabopino is very tight early on and is close to a lot of development on some holes. The second part of the course is lovely with stunning views and some interesting water hazards. Already looking forward to next year. Thanks again.
David Hughes, Cheshire, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
We had a great time and the courses [Belas Clube, Praia del Rey, Estoril, Penha Longa Atlantico] were excellent. Thanks for your help and I will contact you again next year. If I did have one small gripe it would be that the play was terribly slow at Belas, Penha and estoril and I wonder whether handicap certificates were actually being asked for. That said the weather was excellent and it was a nice walk in the sun. thanks again

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
A few comments in case they are of help... La Quinta - Best greens of the 4 we played, interesting course. Excellent facilities. Lost my sunglasses there though (expensive Police pair in case they get handed in?!) Monte Mayor - Spectacular setting, very difficult unless you're very straight off the tee. Wouldn't recommend for high handicappers. La Cala North & South - More 'friendly' in that you can see what you're aiming at - probably would have been better starting here. Par 5's especially good. Greens suffered a little from the amount of traffic, as you'd expect from a well established course, popular with expats. We slightly favoured the North course.
Juan Costain, Isle of Man, UK, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Holiday now over. Just to say a big thank-you for sorting it all out. Everything was great. El Paraiso Hotel is a little bit of paradise in Spain. Monte Mayor was the most spectacular golfing experience of a lifetime. Golf at El Paraiso and San Roque were good also. Thanks again.
Catherine Ross, Belfast, Northern Ireland, April 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Thanks for the mail. The hotel [Caledonia] was great and the golf courses [Estepona, La Cañada] were excellent with all the bookings for everything running very smoothly. We will be booking with Coursemaster again in the future. Thanks for all your help.

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
We had a lovely time again in Alvor. The only complaint I would make, is, we knew that we were being upgraded to a 5 star hotel, but to be quite honest, the Delfim was a nicer option. We didn't expect to have rooms in prime positions, but we also didn't expect to be pushed away into a very cold and damp-smelling annex! The hotel was very full and no other rooms were available until the Sunday, by which time we had unpacked, and decided to "make do" with the room we were in. Obviously this is out of your company's hands, but it would be worth mentioning to the Pestana group. That aside, we really enjoyed ourselves once more, and look forward to booking another holiday with Course masters next year (hopefully the Delfim will be fully open by next April!)

We had a great time. All the arrangements went very smoothly, and I now have a golf swing to be proud of! Many thanks for efforts in arranging it for us.

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
Just a line to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday, All 10 were very impressed as everything went so well. I myself was delighted with my suite. I think they will probably want the same holiday next year. If that is the case when should I book it with you.

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
I was going to drop you a note anyway. We had a great week; the weather which had been terrible relented on our arrival. The arrrangements made by you and the way you dealt with them were faultless. It was particularly good to find someone (your rep) on the end of a phone when we arrived in Gibraltar with no visible sign of the hirecar company or anyone who had heard of it (very British!!). This was sorted quickly. The maps on your vouchers are not easy, particulalry as the Spanish tend to put in new roads and the road numbering isn't consistent. I don't know what the answer is, except to drive slowly, be patient and have a good navigator! We thought the La Reserva course (only 18 months old) was superb, not only the layout but also the turf. Mijas was not in very good shape; the fairways on Los Olivos were poor, even though they had spent a lot of money on the course. The NH Sotogrande hotel could not be faulted. Excellent rooms, friendly, interested staff and very pleasant food in delightful surroundings. An absolute gem. They told me that Almenara is also a good hotel; it was shut for refurb at the time and had been our first choice. Hope to be in touch again sometime.
Patrick Webb, Surrey, UK, March 2005

Thanks for your email. Everything was fine the hotel was great - good food friendly staff etc. Golf courses were great can't say the same about the quality of golf played.

Enjoyable Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
I would first like to thank you on behalf of everyone for organising the trip on our behalf. We were all very pleased with the [La Zenia] hotel and hotel staff. The girls at reception were extremely helpful in organising taxis, etc. for us. The food was very good and rooms clean and spacious. All in all - an excellent choice of hotel. Of the four courses played, we found La Finca and La Marquesa to be in best condition and were enjoyable to play. Villamartin was also a good course although the fairways were perhaps not in the best condition. The fact that only four of our party of ten played Las Ramblas a second time pretty much sums up the general opinion of the course. Apart from the poor state of the fairways - the layout of the course (in a very hilly region with numerous ravines and gorges with extremely narrow and sloping fairways) was not exactly for the connoisseur.
Simply because of its layout, players of all ability were endlessly searching for golf balls and were constantly losing balls in the deep gorges than ran throughout the course. This also led to a round taking the best part of 5 hours. All said - not an enjoyable experience at all. Overall however, I can say that we all enjoyed our week’s holiday and would not hesitate to use your company again for future trips. Whether our wives would be so accommodating remains to be seen. It may have helped prepare us, if nothing else, if a general description of the courses was included. This would certainly help us in future, when deciding which courses to include in our itinerary.
Michael Robb, Arberdeen, UK, March 2005

Great time in the Algarve
The Hotel [Vila Gale Marina] was first class the golf courses [Millenium, Vilasol, Laguna, Pinhal] were excellent an Vilamoura Marina has everything you want for a great time.
Ken Amis, Belvedere, UK, March 2005

Golf Holiday to Almeria
Thank you for your enquiry. I have to say I was a bit dissapointed with Valle del Este, We had to play off red tees, as well as having to be paired with two of the worst golfers in the world making the round very slow. But I have to say that they are very good courses and will be excellent when fully opened.
Peter Whittam, West Yorkshire, UK, March 2005

Golf in Rome
All courses were in good condition. Roma Acquasanta sold us a course planner with wrong contents (e.g. Par 4 instead of Par 3) and Pro Shop gave wrong information re distance poles (125 m instead of 150m to front of the green). The fee is a daily fee. Marco Simone: good value for the money. Fioranello: have improved fairways. We had to pay full fee for the buggy but were only allowed to use it for first 10 holes (too wet)! Castel Gandolfo: good value for the money.
Roland Eggli, Spreitenbach, Switzerland, March 2005

Golf Holiday to Estoril Coast
We had another fantastic holiday thanks! I have no specific comments about the hotel, it was the usual excellent standard that we have come to expect from Vila Gale [Vila Gale Estoril]. The golf courses were in an okay state. Unfortunately Estoril hadn't seen much rain since the start of the year and so many of the fairways were burnt and brown - still better than the snow that we had in Scotland at the same time however!. The most disappointing course was Penha Longa this year which had just applied a sand dressing to spiked greens. We were given a discount on our golf carts in compensation however it was a shame as the greens here are normally the best - in fact this is the second year in a row that the 'winter' treatment has been going on whilst we were there. I'm not sure how we avoid this necessary work however short of going on holiday at a different time?
Alan Gristwood, Arberdeen, Scotland, March 2005

Golf Holiday to Italy
Thank you for arranging this trip for us. 1. car rental - they offered us different car than we payed for !! Big problem for us. Instead of focus the gave us renault modus wich is car without space for baggage ! We asked to rent bigger but no chance. We have to rent a taxi ! 2. tranfers hotel-corses - there was no transfers for us 3. Hotel [Hotel dei Consoli]- very nice, clean - no comments. Location - good for golf but in a midle of highway ! 4. golf courses [Castelgandolfo, Roma Acquasanta], arrangements - excelent, 5. Because I am plannig to arrange some golf trip for our golf club members - we need better description - like hotel location !
Zbigniew Lepka, Poland, March 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Golf was fine, la duquesa was a little tired looking! Estepona, lovely and quiet away from all the building work etc. Atalaya, very good.La Cala very good.
hotel.. appartments very good, all inclusive very restricted compared wiyh Atalaya hotel 2 yrs before. At Atalaya they included much more choice of drinks ie imported booze, johny walker whisky, bacardi, named brads etc but at caledonia just the very local makes we have never heard of! Food, breakfast was good, evening meals were poor with cheap chewy! meat and not much choice compared with Ataalaya. but we had a great time and made the most of our trip!!!
Chris Dale, Swalecliffe, UK, March 2005

Algarve courses needed rain
All went very smoothly hotel [Vila Gale Ampalius] was fine the courses [Vilasol, Millennium, Laguna, Pinhal] were very busy for the first few days 5 hour rounds , however it was less busy for later in the week, we do intend to go somewere different next year as we have been three years running. they do need some rain in portugal we were told that they have only had two days rain since October.
Norman Borstel, Brightlingsea, UK, March 2005

Golf at San Roque
We had a nice trip to the Costa del Sol, everything worked out perfectly. Next time we gonna book all our tee times with you. One of the best courses is San Roque ( we played the New ), we also visited Almenara and Sotogrande Reserva but didn't play, those two also look very promising.
Philip Reiman, Germany, March 2005

No warm up at La Cañada
We enjoyed our golf holiday. It was very good. Just one thing was not so good. Our first golf day on La Canada the driving range was closed and we could not “warm up”.
Finn Anderson, Frederiksberg, Denmark, March 2005

Enjoyed golf in Alicante
Regarding our recent golf holiday to Alicante. we enjoyed La Finca & Bonalba golf courses very much. El Plantio was a bit overused with a delay of about 30 mins on tee times and Alicante was like playing golf on a building site - very noisy, situated elsewhere the course would be quite acceptable. All other tee times were as scheduled & we encountered no problems with any of our reservations. Many thanks to your staff.
Gina Ellis, Keighley, UK, March 2005

Golf too expensive in Costa Blanca
We enjoyed all the courses we played but I think they are getting too expensive. The course at Las Ramblas was interesting but some of the fairways were very poor. Both La Finca and Villamartin we really enjoyed for the variety and the quality of the holes. Thanks once again for the efficient way you looked after my requests.
Declan Crowley, Ballincollig, Ireland, March 2005

Good Organisation
The holiday was good, the weather could have been better but it beat work!! everything you organised went well,no problems with anything so i thank you for that. After speaking to some guys in the pub they asked if i could get a guote for next year.

Superb Golf in Costa Blanca
Hi, everything [Villamartin, Alicante Golf] was superb many thanks.
Kenneth Jones, Leeds, UK, March 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Yes we enjoyed our golf in Spain. La Finca was our favourite. We found the quality of golf course very much in line with the price paid. On the negative side the golf courses [La Marquesa, Las Ramblas, Villamaritn, La Finca] were very difficult to find. A few signs would not cost a lot but would make life easier and more enjoyable for the visitor. The caddymasters could have been more pleasant. In one case we were a little late and were asked to wait for three hours. I suppose we were lucky to get a game but I would like to think that the attitude would be more understanding in Scotland. The arrangements made by you on our behalf worked pefectly with no hitches whatsoever.
Alastair Tait, UK, March 2005

Good Golf near Calpe, Costa Blanca
A good holiday. We made our own arrangements re the apartment. Coral Beach at Calpe. The golf courses [Bonalba, La Sella, Alenda Golf] were good. I will be contacting you shortly re our next visit in October, together with a trip to Malaga for 16 members of our Golf Society in September. Many thanks for your help.

Golf Holiday to Algarve
This was our 19th year of taking holidays in the Algarve, so you can imagine we knew what we were getting into, and we were delighted as usual with the our time share at Four Seasons Country Club for the first two weeks and also with the Dona Filipa Hotel and the San Lorenzo Golf Course for the last 10 days. It was our 9th year of staying at the Dona Filipa. This was the first time we booked with Coursemastergolf, so I will give you my impressions of that. I found the service good, vouchers for hotel and golf as well as for the hired car all arrived in good time and as we had requested for tee times and dates. My only disappointment is that unlike my previous travel agent for our Portugal Holiday you did not breakout the cost for me as I had asked. I wanted to know the separate cost for the hotel, for the car, and for the golf. There are many agents offering travel arrangements to the Algarve, and good deals can only be accurately determined if we have the details. We have made several friends by coming to the Algarve regularly and of course we all like to knowÊhow our costs compare. I could not promote Coursemaster to them because I lacked the details and we would be comparing apples and oranges; so in that sense Coursemaster lost some potential clients. Perhaps we could look at your offering again next year, but I would want more information, before committing. Not related to Coursemaster as such, but we are finding the airline schedules very awkward for the trip from Ottawa, forcing us to spend too much holiday time waiting in London on the way over and having to stay overnight in London on the return trip. We will be looking to get serious improvement on that for next year. All the above notwithstanding, we enjoyed our golf very much and seeing our other travelling friends there as well, and Coursemaster was reliable in getting the contractedÊvouchers to us in good time - we did not have to worry about them arriving on time for our departure. Hence, overall, I would rate your service as better than average, with room for improvement in the provision of details.
Ernie Creber, Ottawa, Canada, March 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Holiday was very good, enjoyed estepona golf that you chose for us.nice setting and not much building work or real estate there!! Hotel [Caledonia] was good except main meals in the evening were pretty poor in quality but did not spoil our trip as we decide to eat out a couple of times.
Chris Dale, Swalecliffe, March 2005

Comments on Alicante area courses
Yes we enjoyed it very much. Comments on the 3 courses as follows:
1. Alenda - very good greens, layout good, but a bit too much waste land around the course. The 1st tee was a long way from the clubhouse and as we didn't hire buggies, it meant for a bit of a hike. Clubhouse reasonable and very friendly.
2. Alicante - greens in superb condition, fairways and tees good. An interesting course laid out amongst housing developments which made for some tight drives and required accuracy off the tee. Excellent facilities and generally very friendly. We got lost and were late for our tee off time, but they were very helpful and squeezed us in. The directions were appalling and gave no indication of how to find it. Excellent value considering buggies were included.
3. El Plantio - has the potential to be very good. Greens were average (the worst of the 3 courses we played), but the fairways and tees were similar to the other 2 courses. Layout was very nice with good variation. Some lovely views from the high sections of the course. They offer free water which was a nice touch given the price of the buggies. Facilities were excellent and staff very friendly. It was also very convenient for the airport and the timing for our flight home worked very well.
Overall we rated Alicante the best, then El Plantio followed by Alenda which had the least memorable holes. Several holes at Alicante and El Plantio stand out, but few at Alenda. Booking was easy and efficient.
Neil Sear, Exmouth, UK, March 2005

Unlimited Golf Package in Algarve
overall the holiday was a great success and everybody enjoyed themselves. Three minor points of concern :-
1. The cost of drinks in the [Alvor Praia] hotel were prohibitive 12eur for a brandy.
2. It was extremely difficult to get a reserve tee time on our free day [as part of the unliimited golf package] even though I tried to book it on our first day.
3. We were not allowed to play in groups of two three balls and a four ball as groups had to play in four balls this meant our group was split into two four balls and a two ball with strangers making up the final group into a four ball. This took some of the fun out of our pre--arranged competitions. I think it would be helpful if groups were made aware of this limitation in the future. regards.
Ian Morgan, Ringwood, UK, February 2005

Parador Old Course in poor condition
We enjoyed the trip and the courses we usually play were up to our expectations. However, Jim your local agent, recommended the Parador Old Course and it was not a pleasant experience. The course was in very poor condition and the manner and attitude of the bar staff was appalling (one middle aged lady in particular). I do not want to be over critical of Jim because he was generally very helpful. I will contact you before our next golfing holiday in October.
Liam Fahy, Rocheston, Ireland, March 2005

Excellent Golf in Alicante
We did indeed enjoy our golf holiday to Alicante, Spain. The courses you booked for us were excellent (Alicante, La Marquesa and Villamartin]. However, on one of the days when we were not scheduled to play, we booked a round at Las Ramblas course (next to Real Club de Golf Campoamor). This course could be considered being built in a quarry, virtually every tee was elevated with limited views to the fairway, with little or no grass anywhere - need I say more. I would strongly advise you do not book this course for any of your customers. Thank you for your excellent service, I will certainly use your company the next time I intend to play glof in Spain.
Mr Gallacher, Bathgate,UK, March 2005

Burnt Fairways and Worn Tee Areas
Las Ramblas fairways were burnt and not as good as january, probaly because of the frost, Bonalba was good but tee ares were getting worn.
Howard Spurr, Oldham, UK, March 2005

Golf Holiday to Algarve
We found that the hotel Dom Joao was not up to the same standard as the Delfim with regards to service and general being. It was little things like no one to help with your bags, lack of service in the bar etc. Where we first put, the apartments, we also found were worse than the hotel and we did ask to be moved which wasn’t a problem. We did have a lovely time but I can honestly say I don’t think we would want to stay at the Dom Joao again having been in the Delfim. The area is still lovely and the courses [Carvoeiro Pinta and Gramacho] are good but they are starting to get a little busy which is a shame as that is what keeps Portugal apart from Spain.
Julie Cole, Southampton, UK, March 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca plus memories of previous holidays
The hotel [Poseidon Playa] was ok but the restaurant food was just barely adequate. The bar and bar service was poor. Definitely the worst of all the other hotels apart from the dancing in the evening - The best was the Palma Nova Palace ( Mallorca ) the food was absolutely exceptional. Next was the Cortijo Blanco ( San Pedro ) and then finally the Don Miguel ( Marbella ). Mallorca is definitely prettier than mainland Spain even if the winter weather is not quite as warm. All the Golf courses on our last trip were located around Alicante. This was about 25 miles from Benidorm. Did a lot of driving in the 2 weeks! The golf courses were fine and we were treated very well at them.
I personally preferred Bonalba and Alenda. Alicante is very built up and surrounded with villas, apartments and roads - it is not a course to play if you like to walk - I did it once - never again - a long way from green to tee. The free buggy is a must even though it is very flat terrain. I play off 16 and have never lost as many balls to water in all my life. Both Bonalba and Alenda have a good variation of terrain, quite pretty with some nice wide fairways. The greens are lightening fast and true but very demanding.
Please don't take the above as complaints. We had a smashing time and met some great people - especially the Swedish ex pats at Alenda. I only mention the above in an attempt to improve info for your future clients. Of all the golf holidays we enjoyed Mallorca the best. The Hotel ( Palma Nova Palace ) was excellent - the food was the best ever - the golf courses were excellent and not too far away. Directions were good. Should have taken my skis though. I played with some English ex pats there that suggested the best course is the one at Andrax. I look forward to playing it in November if it is on your list but have no complaints about the ones I played. Cant remember the name of the course in the hills but bloody hell the 2nd nine is seriously hilly. I walked it all but the height of some of the tees turned my stomach over. Stunning views, tight fairways but take some ropes and crampons. Cant remember the name of it but I will never forget it! Hope the above is helpful and of some use to you. Thanks again to you and all your team.
Tony Worrall, Lancs, UK, March 2005

Attractive Courses in Algarve
We had a fabulous time and the weather was very kind to us. The 2 courses we played where in good condition and as attractive as the brochures had led us to believe. We will be coming back next year for sure. Thank you for your assistance in making our stay a good one.

Neil Blanchflower, UK, March 2005

Good Golf in Costa Blanca
La Finca. Fantastic, the greens were a little slow but that was because they had been recently top dressed. Las Ramblas. An excellent course, but boy is it tough. Never lost so many balls. We played another course near Las Ramblas but I can not remember the name. The fairways were a little bare. La Marquesa. Back 9 quite nice. Front 9 a little bare and patchy. Greens were good though.
Robert Grainger, St Leonards on Sea, UK, March 2005

Everything was fine.Alicante have weed killer on the rough but the greens are great. Viilamartin fair ways bare but greens OK. Thanks for your help ew will use you again.

Good Test of Golf in Costa del Sol
The courses were all really good tests and in great condition. The main comment we have is regarding the directions to the courses. We had a major problem finding Mijas Golf. The same would have been the same for Santana as well as it is off the same road. The problem was that your directions gave landmarks and signs which may have changed. It would have been better to reference the required junction to the Kilometre mark on the roads. There is a mark every 1Km on the motorways and it the junction tend to follow it. Also some of the road numbers have changed. There are a lot of construction developments and layout changes in the area which make it difficult. As for the courses - of the five we played we felt that Alhaurin was the toughest and most picturesque Santana was the in the best condition, It will be better when a proper clubhouse is completed and the apartments have been built. Miraflores was a good test with tight fairways - again when the building work is completed it will be better. Mijas Los Lagos - was open but the bunkers and water hazards made it interesting. Mijas Los Olivios - was deceptively tough with large bumkers, some tight holes and plenty of water. In all a good trip and we look forward to maybe going again next year.
Greg Dennis, Calendwig, UK, March 2005

Fantastic Golf at Murcia
The course we played was Mosa Trajectum. The course was in fantastic condition and a great test of golf. I found Course Master Golf Holidays very efficient and a pleasure to deal with, and look forward to future golf breaks with yourselves. I also found Jim in Spain (I think) to be a great help and very professional. Thank you once again and Best regards

Supeb Courses in Costa Blanca
Thanks for everything the courses were superb. It was great to get away from the British wet conditions to the sun and much better playing conditions. The courses were both superb and the I've included some comments on both.
Las Ramblas: A parkland course with a lot of blind tee shots. Teeing off into oblivion comes to mind. The fairways were quite patched but very good and the greens were superb. We hired clubs for both round but were a little bit disappointed at the conditions of the clubs at Las Ramblas.
Mosa Trajectum: Amazing setup!! From when we arrived til we left we felt like top rank players. The clubs we were issued with were almost brand new and top of the range, with recovery clubs and Oddyssy putters. Pity we couldn't get them to work too well!! Full access to the driving range pitching range and putting green was included in the green fees, as was the balls set up on the range. The golf pro taked us around the course before we set off so we were semi prepared for the round. 1st Tee was over an expansive lake onto a tight fairway. This was a prelude for what was to come. Needless to say we found many of the lake around the course. Toilets available at the 9th and cold water fountains with drinking water throught the course as was club towels to dry the balls after cleaning them. Marvellous venue which we would go back to in a minute. Thanks for your help in arranging the golf.
Gordon Somerville, March 2005

Excellent time in Algarve
Yes we had an excellent time, Hotel [Vila Gale Ampalius] was superb, as was the case last year. Golf courses [Pinhal, Millennium, Laguna, Vilamoura Old] were not in as good condition as last year except for the Old Course which was great however nothing detracted from our enjoyment. Will get back to you when we have decided on where we are going next year.
Terry Whiteman, Cellardyke, UK, March 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
We had a good holiday thanks, although our standard of golf was definitely affected by the san miguel consumption (that's the excuse anyway!)
Courses: El Plantio - great setting and good facilities. A nice long course which took us about 5 hours to get around (although we were held up in places). A good variety of holes but ultimately the course is let down by the disappointing standard of the fairways and greens. I believe this is due to a hosepipe ban but for the prices they charge we felt a little short changed.
Alicante Golf - completely different setting - you couldn't get much more urban than that! It's a good course but I'm not sure whether it's because we were quite hung-over but it wasn't as enjoyable as El Plantio even though it was in better condition (and the buggies were a laugh). I think that it was due to the setting and the fact that a couple of shots ended up in people's swimming pools and front rooms!!
Next year we should be good enough and confident enough to play at some of the better courses like La Finca and what would be good is if there were more online course reviews to help choose where to play. Thanks again for your help and if we go away again next year we'll definitely check www.golfholidaysonline.com first.
Steven Beattie, UK, March 2005

Golf Holiday to Puerto Banus (Marbella)
The "tour" went extremely well and all to plan. The courses were generally better than last years although we were surprised at the apparent lack of maintenance at Alhaurin. The Hotel [Park Plaza Suites] worked well and meant we did not have to bother at all with taxi's. The transfer company were very accommodating, punctual and didn't seem to mind us changing the return trip times. I suppose the only critism was that the Hotel breakfast was not up to much. Very little choice and very poor service. It was always a bit of a rush for us to be away by 8.00am. But its only a minor point and didn't detract from our enjoyment of the tour. Thanks again for your efforts
Tony Rundle, Lichfield, UK, March 2005

Golf in Jerez de la Frontera
Many thanks for your efforts to booking my tee times nearby Jerez [Montecastillo, Montenmedio, Sherry Golf and Novo Sancti Petri]. All of the vouchers are o.k. and I had no problems anywhere. The average price of the vouchers was very good also. If I am going to another trip to play golf in Portugal, Spain or anywhere I will contact you again and I can only say many thanks oncemore.
Wolfgang Linden, Berlin, Germany, March 2005

Well-run courses at Vilamoura
Everything well run on golf courses [Laguna, Vilamoura Old, Millennium, Pinhal]. booking tee times made everything easy and alot cheaper would do it again. Thanks for making the golf booking easy.
Duncan Crowther, UK, March 2005

Golf in Costa Blanca
La marquesa was only average this year, although i didn't book that through you.La finca and las ramblas were great courses but none of us were impressed with villa martin. The fairways were bare and a lot of the greens were no better than municipal standard back home, but we enjoyed the golf regardless.

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Thanks for your message. We had a wonderful holiday, all the golf courses [Alcaidesa, Monte Mayor, Estepona] were excellent and they were all expecting us. Monte Mayor was undoubtedly the highlight of the trip even though we lost loads of balls! We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed the challenge and the scenery. We will definitely play that course again. When we next book a trip we will be in touch with you again.

Everthing went well in Spain we had great time and great weather thank you for the efficient last minute organisation.

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol

Yes I would like to comment ! the holiday was great golf courses out of this world we thought we were out of the world at Monte Mayor ,between the twelve of us, lost over 100 balls, but a fantastic day was had by all, the other courses were again very good, the hotel [Caledonia] was good and reception staff very friendly, wish we could have stayed longer, but there is next years trip to organise. With that in mind could you let me know when you get thefebruary 2006 prices in also canyou organise a bus from airport to hotel and back and to golf courses {just a thought to save hiring cars } as next year we are looking at maybe 20 persons.
Roger Simpson, South Yorkshire, February 2005

Sunny Costa Blanca
Yes we had a lovely holiday - 12 sunny days out of 14, although very cold at night.
Villamartin golf course was a very well-laid out course but it needed a lot of TLC. The course was dry (but probably expected in the climate), although the greens were good (and fast) It was not very well looked after, the course was untidy, the club house was very dark, dingy and uninspiring. The changing rooms were very untidy and not particularly clean. The staff were friendly. We also played at Campomar whose charges were 40 and 42 euros each (less than Villa Martin at 55 euros (60 euros public price). Whilst the course was dry (again expected), it was very well looked after. The greens were good (and fast). The Club House and changing facilities were first class. The staff were friendly. We also played at Las Ramblas. A fun course - crossing plenty ravines etc. Lost lots of balls!

Great Holiday in Costa Blanca
Thank you very much, yes we had a great holiday. The weather was superb. Our handicaps ranged from 12 upto 26, and we all thoroughly enjoyed La Finca. One comment was that signposting in Algorfa was poor, so it was difficult to find. It was a great challenge for all levels of golfer. Mosa was very difficult, especially the "Stone Course". It was very unforgiving, but again the location and scenery were excellent and we all enjoyed the "Olive Course". Thank you to Course Master for all your help orgainsing the courses for us. We will be back.

Enjoyable Holiday to Almeria
We thoroughly enjoyed the break. All the arrangements worked perfectly and we had no difficulties. The [Valle del Este] hotel was excellent and as a relatively new complex sets a very good standard in terms of general presentation and food. There was a wide and reasonably varied food choice. Again the rooms were spacious, well fitted out and bright. The two golf courses are still relatively new but have to be accepted in the context of the areas where they are situated. From this perspective they were both enjoyable and good fun. Our preference was that the Desert Springs course, which I believe is the more expensive, was slightly better. This course is flat whereas the Valle Del Este course is somewhat up and down on the valley side. Overall thoroughly enjoyable, will probably go back to the area in the future and I have no hesitation in coming back to you or recommending your services to friends. Many thanks.

Golf Holiday to Algarve
Thank you for the interest in our holiday. We had an absolutely wonderful time, lovely car, fantastic hotel [Pestana Delfim] and the weather was great too. The golf courses were wonderful, and it was nice to play in fine pleasant weather again. We much preferred Gramachio to Pinta, there was too much building work at Pinta. You will be pleased to know that we are talking about returning to Portugal next year at the same time. Although as the hotel was to wonderful, we have decided to go to a different resort and keep happy memories of Alvor. Only one little upset, which didn't spoil anything but I think you should know - when I booked the holiday I asked about CDW on the hire car. You said it was included and then went on to talk about 'with bail' which I had no idea what you were referring to. As I'd asked about CDW, and been told it was included, I was really surprised when we had to pay an extra £100 for the car when we collected. The holiday had been carefully budgeted, and this put a big hole in our spending money - especially for my parents who are pensioners. However, when I checked my e-mails from you, you had said that CW with bail was not included, but a clearer explanation could have been given. The holiday was fabulous and we will book again with you for next year!

We were so impressed with the [Alvor Praia] hotel and its location, that we have already asked your Scottish office to quote for a return in May if available.

Impressive Service
I was very impressed with your service and the directions for the courses were excellent.

Golf at Montecastillo
Everything regarding your Service was excellent! One thing we were disappointed about was the greens on the course [Montecastillo]. They were in bad condition.

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
Thank you for taking the trouble to email me regarding my trip to Spain, I had a great time and the golf was great. This was the second occasion I have played at "La Finca" and as before Brilliant, a beautifully kept course with great views and plenty of hazards. Highly recommended! As regards to the booking arrangements and customer service, this is second to none, Michael is extremely competent and ever helpful, cant wait to play again!!!!

Comments on Costa del Sol Golf
Thanks for organising our golf.
Course/clubhouse comments:
Alcaidesa - Having learnt my golf on East Coast of Scotland as a kid I really loved this course apart from a couple of weak holes near the end. The greens were good and fairly fast and we played with a delightful member. Stunning views! Clubhouse is small, personal and all the staff were most attentive. There were a lot of members there who were very helpful. It felt like a traditional club. Hope the new course and clubhouse will not spoil the ambience as that would be a great shame.
Atalaya Old - Found this a rather boring course. It is in reasonable condition but I would not bother playing it again. Generally the clubhouse and shop staff were rather off-hand, especially in the bar where they had the real knack of avoiding all eye and spoken contact and therefore serving! There seemed to be a rather 'look at us aren't we great' feel about the place.
Monte Mayor - I am glad they sold lake balls in the shop! Stunning course, but very, very difficult. I am told it has one of the highest slope ratings in Spain and I am not surprised. The greens were like greased lightening which added to the difficulties. We really enjoyed playing this and would do so again just for the experience. Clubhouse staff excellent and very helpful. Help with clubs, to and from car, etc all added to a great time.

Beginners Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
Just to let you know we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Benabola and all your golf arrangements worked very well. Our pro at the Leadbetter Academy was very patient with us - he is used to teaching various national teams so we wern't quite his usual calibre of pupil but he was just great and we enjoyed it enough to want to learn to be better. The people at Greenlife and Estepona could not have been more helpful - Greenlife changing our second visit to a quieter time of day when there would be no one behind us and Estepona letting us do the 18 holes in two lots of 9. The weather was perfect so you even managed to fix that too!! So, thank you for arranging such a good trip. Do you make any arrangements with English establishments or in Northern France? Marbella will be too hot and crowded later in the year and will have to wait until February next year or much later this year like maybe November. This is only a very general inquiry - please don't spend alot of time on details Thank you again for a great trip
Jean Weston Howell, London, UK, February 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol, Spain

Hotel exceeded expectations
We want to thank you for your help in booking this Andalusia golf holiday for us. The [Atalaya Park] hotel exceeded our expectations. We found it comparable to the Gloria golf hotel in Belek in Turkey, yet with better service (the price/performance ratio of our off-season package was anyway exceptional). When we arrived, we could choose between 5 different rooms ( 2 of them without surcharge). When I asked for a better (newer) mattress, we got them within a few minutes.ÊWhen we booked an additional green fee on the old golf course: no problem (the new one is more fun to play and not easier ). The quality of the 2 in-house restaurants (Italian and Spanish) competes well with the local restaurants and the price of 20 Euro for a buffet dinner in El Torre , where the half- and full-pension meals are served, is very reasonable. After 5 days of sunshine, Sunday brought heavy rain. We learned that we could not choose to start about 2 hours later on hole 10 (their local rules and/orÊabsence of a marshall didnot permit this) and sacrificed our last green fee to the bad weather. Our 2 additional days were then just right to visit Granada and its Alhambra with snow. Our littleÊrental car of French design wasÊperfect (5 doors). Before we got it, we didnot see Europe-Rent-a car in our arrival hall and followed your directions indirectly to get to the other terminal via an outside tour; where weÊhad to reenterÊthrough security. When we got to our assigned car, we found it dirty, went back, got another car assigned and were happy.Ê We learned then that there would be an obligatory Euro 50 charge for refill of gasoline, no matter how empty the tank will be. On previous occasions we did refill shortly before returning a rental car. It turned out that our partial refill at Granada was much too generous. We enjoyed our holiday very much indeed and will eventually plan another one with Course Master Golf Holidays.

Great time in Alicante
Just to let you know we had a great time at the golf courses we booked - Campoamor, Villamartin and Las Ramblas - even though the fairways were not in very good condition! Will be in touch later in the year when we have booked our Summer holiday.
Patricia Ann Thomas, UK, February 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
Just writing to say thank you for organising the golf [at Villamartin, La Finca, La Marquesa and Las Ramblas] at such short notice. Everything went without a hitch and we had a great time (especially as I took the money). Will be in touch again next year.
Robert Grainger, St Leonards on Sea, UK, March 2005

Excellent Service
Thank you very much for your excellent service on the above. I have recommended you to friends and fellow members of my golf club. I look forward to using you on a future occasion.

Alhaurin a real challenge
Alhaurin Golf Club was excellent and a real challenge on the day. The facilities were superb, and the staff at the golf course very helpful. Thanks for booking it, and hopefully the payment went through successfully in the end.

Enjoyable break in Algarve
Just a note to say we thoroughly enjoyed our break in the Algarve [at Dom Joao Hotel with unlimited golf package]. The arrangements worked perfectly and thank you for that. The car hire people were particularly efficient given our flight was delayed four hours. Will no doubt use your services again and will recommend you to our friends.
Andrew Buchanan, Newbury, UK, February 2005

All arrangements were first class
All arrangements were first class and I have passed your details to a colleague who will call you shortly to arrange his golf.

Great Holiday - Algarve
The holiday was great just what we needed in February. Everything went smoothly and the hotel [Dom Joao] and golf courses [Carvoeiro Pinta and Gramacho] were superb. Will definately book again next year.

Santa Clara outstanding
We played Santa Clara golf course - facilities, friendliness, course quality were all outstanding.

Golf in Costa Blanca
Villamartin not in a very good condition, the whole place needs some money spent on it.The rest of the golf courses we played were o/k La Finca being the best.

Wonderful Holiday to Costa del Sol
We had a wonderful holiday and any comments we have are positive. The [Atalaya] Golf Academy was excellent and both of us really benefitted from it. David has a completely new attitude to his short game & in fact, had an extra lesson during the second week. He is now away to China on business & can hardly wait to be home in order to stun his friends with his way improved short game!! As a complete beginner I have really come on, even Javier, the "Boss" who is very strict, said I had made real progress! I am now looking into which Golf Club to join here in order to keep up.
The Spa [at Atalaya Park Hotel] is the best we have been and we have been to many in S.East Asia, the U.S. & Europe including The Old Course in St. Andrews & Turnberry. We have never seen such a Jacuzzi system! We had various massages, one most days & the ?20 a day was super towards that. Only one therapist was a bit too heavy handed, so David didn't enjoy his "deep tissue" treatment! Our room was lovely & seemed to be serviced several times a day which is quite unusual. We had room service instead of going out to eat on 3 occassions & it too was lovely. The only thing we would critisize is the 2 bars within the hotel. They were extremely smokey and not pleasant to go into. We did have a drink in the Library one day & it was O.K. None of that was a problem to us so don't worry.
The whole of the [Atalaya Park] complex, if you call it that, has everything that anyone could possibly want. We even watched a professional football match on one of their pitches one evening. Breakfast in the Hotel was excellent and the variety of bars & other places to eat & drink were super. David was very impressed with the 3 courses & all of the other golfing facilities, he was in 7th. heaven! We chatted to quite a few people who lived there and we are pretty definitely going back again next year. We think we could easily cope with 3 weeks, again around about the same time of year, but would for that time, prefer self catering but with all of the "deals" you managed for us this time, including another course at the Golf Academy. So, please keep in touch and let us know what offers are coming up for next year? Thank you so much for sorting everything out for us.
Elaine Butler, Scotland, January 2005

Golf Holiday to the Algarve
We had a great time in Portugal, it seems so long ago now! Thanks you for arranging the separate bedroom it was nice not to have to sit, sleep and eat in the one room as we did in September. No plans as yet for another trip, but will contact you if our this changes.
Eileen Finnegan, Bucks, UK, January 2005

First class holiday to Penina, Algarve
Our holiday in Penina was first class and very good value
The car hire worked very well and the vehicle was just right for two people with golf clubs and cases. The [Le Meridien Penina] hotel is five star and the service is attentive and excellent.
It is great to have the golf clubs taken and put into a secure room in the golf shop on arrival and then brought to you each day as you get ready to go to the first tee. The Championship course was in excellent condition and very enjoyable once you had figured out where and how wide are the watercourses crossing the fairways. Only comment I have is with your directions from the airport which need revision to make the following points clear. (I had a similar problem in Estepona so maybe it's just me). When you leave Faro Airport the intention is that you join the Motorway westwards which I think is the A2 or A 22. There are no tolls on this stretch of the Motorway. Your directions make reference to joining the Via Infante which is name of the Motorway but I did not know that. You also say that you cross the suspension bridge which actually is not on the Motorway but on the N125 which runs about 1 km adjacent. Finally Penina is basically 4 kms from Portimao and is a left turn directly off the N 125 so if all else fails you could find it that way. Hope this helps-- will go again

Excellent value at Marbella area courses
[Benabola] Apartment was very spacious and generally of a good standard. El Paraiso was a very pleasant surprise, excellent value for money. Almenara was a bit disappointing as they were doing a lot of work to the course and clubhouse. Santana was very good but a bit short off the yellow tees, very tricky greens.
Marks out of 10:
Benabola 8
El Paraiso 8
Almenara 7
Santana 8
Overall a very enjoyable trip. Thanks for your help in booking the above.
Peter Jones, Deeside, Flintshire, UK, January 2005

Didn't like Desert at Desert Springs
Bookings worked well at Desert Springs. Good course, very good condition, but not sure of the benefits of the "desert" strips. Designed to damage clubs in our opinion. Overall we would not rush to go back there and we much preferred Valle Del Este. I hope to use your service again.
Dennis Chalk, Chandlers Ford, Hants, UK, January 2005

Golf Holiday to Alvor, Algarve
I've been meaning to write to you and thank you for the great organisation. Everything went incredibly smoothly - hotel, car and golf ; and all was to a very high standard. The [Dom Joao II] hotel is a good quality one and the golf courses [Carvoeiro Pinta and Gramacho] are excellent - well maintained and efficiently staffed. The only comments were about the amount of construction work around the Pinta course, but that did not detract from an excellent experience. Thanks again for your help
Gary Brooks, Farnborough, Hampshire, UK, January 2005

Golf Holiday to Estoril Coast, Portugal
On the whole, everything went very well, thanks. Below are a few minor comments. I expect you can't do much about the "negative" comments, but you might be interested to know them anyway.
1) Car Rental: I don't have the documents you sent to double check, but I think the "extras" were given as EUR 15 for "airport tax" and EUR 12 per day insurance to waive the "excess" on the car. In fact, we were charged EUR 20 for "airport tax" and EUR 18 per day insurance to waive the "excess" on the car (total EUR 92 compared to total EUR 75). I queried this with the person at the car rental desk, but he simply told me that their charges had increased. Also, booking the car in advance should have allowed the rental company to have at least the basic paperwork ready for us. Instead, we had to wait while they figured out which car they were going to give us and then complete the paperwork accordingly. Despite these comments, there were absolutely no problems at all with the car itself.
2) Quinta da Marinha Hotel: Very good, and not many people staying while we were there.
3) Oitavos Golf Course: Very good and challenging course, but unfortunately we timed our visit badly, because the greens had been aerated and sanded just a couple of days before we arrived. They were in a particularly bad state on the Saturday (our first day), and were slightly better on the Tuesday (our last day). We were told this had been done in preparation for a professional tournament to take place there in March. As (bad) luck would have it, this was the only course we booked to play twice!!
4) Quinta da Marinha Golf Course: Typical "resort" type of course. The greens were excellent, but some other parts of the course, in particular some of the tees, looked the worse for wear.
5) Penha Longha Golf Course: Excellent ... and VERY, VERY quiet. Thanks again for your help in organizing the trip. We have no plans to make a similar trip again this year, but we may do something similar early next year, in which case you might hear from me again.
George Stein, Switzerland, January 2005

Golf Holiday to Algarve
I would lke to thank you on behalf of my group for a wonderful holiday. From the minute we landed to the return flight home everything went completely as planned ( however i did lose at golf!!) The pestana viking was a very nice hotel, the staff were really helpfull. The golf courses [Pinta, Gramacho, Vilasol, Laguna] we played were fantastic, and although the weather was a bit cold in the mornings by mid afternoon it was t shirt weather with not a cloud in the sky! Thank you very much again, you will definately be hearing from us this time next year!
Christopher Fry, Salisbury, UK, January 2005

Fantastic Experience in Costa Blanca
The whole experience was fantastic, the courses [Las Ramblas and Villamartin] were spectacular and in excellent condition. Even the weather was on our side.
Steven Foxton, Coventry, UK January 2005

Quality of Fairways poor at Costa Blanca courses
The courses we very good in their layout etc but the quality of the fairways was poor. The greens were excellent. There was a lot of maintenance work ie, chopping down or removing of tree branches, going on and no one could be seen to be clearing anything away. This gave the appearance of very untidy and neglected. This applied particularly to Campoamor. At Las Ramblas youths were waiting on some of the Tees selling bags of golf balls they had found previously, and also were sitting around the course in the many ravines waiting for you to loose your golf ball and them to find it and then sell on. Other than these points we throughly enjoyed our 2 days golfing.
John Robinson, Gowdall, Goole, UK, January 2005

Enjoyed the golf in Vilamoura
I am happy to say that everything was perfect on our holiday. We enjoyed the [Vilamoura Millennium and Pinhal] courses and your arrangements were excellent. Shame about the quality of some of our golf, but that was not your fault. We will not hesitate to contact you again next year.
Ken Smith, UK, January 2005

Unlimited Golf in Algarve, Portugal
Four of us were upgraded to a five star hotel [Pestana Praia Alvor] which was excellent and so were the [Carvoeiro Pinta and Gramacho] golf courses. The other 8 in our party were not so lucky and had their holiday spoilt somewhat. Golf courses were super.
Mike Hill, UK, January 2005

Really Good Time in Algarve
Many thanks , just to let you know that we had a really good time , excellent weather, excellent golf [Carvoeiro Pinta and Gramacho] and excellent hotel [Dom Joao II] etc. I would recommend your package to anyone who is interested. I took loads of photos and will be putting them on our website as soon as I can so if anyone wants to see pics of the courses or hotels they will be available to any of your clients who want to know more about the place before they commit themselves.
Andrew Goldsmith, Colchester, UK, January 2005

Wonderful Holiday to Orlando, Florida
Yes, we had a wonderful holiday. The weather was extremely kind to us!! The [Highlands Reserve] villa was of a very high standard and we have no complaints at all. The [Highlands Reserve] golf course was superb, we didn't bother playing at any other course as that one was so good !! All in all, we had a great time.
Paul Nicholson, Germany, January 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
Returned from Spain late Wednesday night,Great time had by all.All arrangements spot on no problems at all.I do think we as golfers should all club together and treat the Spanish highways department with an altogether better signage system for golf club directions. We saw most of the Costa Blanca looking for courses, but found them in the end.The only thing we would have changed was the weather, I believe it was warmer at home for those three days, but it was bright and were able to play so that was the important thing.Once again many thanks for your help and we will be intouch again for our next trip.
Noel Bratt, Harlow, Essex, UK, January 2005

Portals Nous, Mallorca is great location
It was great. The [Marina Portals] hotel was nice, and was in a great location. I had assumed that it would be in the City, but it was five our ten miles outside of Palma in a nice area with very good restaurants. The courses [Bendinat, Son Termens, Son Vida] were also nice. And we even liked the rental facility. The Berlingo is an odd looking car, but with the large trunk, it was perfect for golfers as the sticks went in very easily.
Robert Franco, Wheaton, Illinois, USA, January 2005

Excellent Golf in Algarve
Yes thanks it was great, both courses [Vale do Lobo Ocean and Vilamoura Old] excellent.
David Holligon, UK, January 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa Blanca
Have had a great holiday. No issues whatsoever with vouchers. You told us not to play Campamoar and it did look a bit rough. I think the best course of the lot is Villamartin ... classic layout / great variety of holes / good solid greens, however ...... its shocking, no grass, tees all sand don't let anyone book it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your help again.
Ian Fairweather, St Helens, UK, January 2005

Golf Holiday to Alicante
Thanks for the email, unfortunately due to a death in my family I had to fly home early so missed the day at La Finca, Alicante was in very good condition though thank you.
Dave Lethaby, Bristol, UK, January 2005

Fabulous Golf Holiday to Marbella
Thank you very much, our holiday was fabulous. The only course [of Atalaya Old, Flamingos Rosa, Almenara, La Cala South, Lauro] that was disappointing was Atalaya Old, the course was tired and worn, tatty round the bunker perimeters and general presentation below par. Thank you for your excellent arrangements, we shall certainly be using your services again next year.
Martin Toomer, UK, January 2005

Golf Holiday to Mallorca
Thank you for your mail, we enjoyed our holidays very much, everything was really well organised. There are only 2 little remarks: - the [Marina Portals] hotel has too little parking space - we don't like so much to pay the petrol in advance, we had to pay EUR 50 for 10 liters
Maria Zweifel, Switzerland, January 2005

Golf Holiday to Costa del Sol
El Paraiso was looking good and there is clearly investment going in to the Course and the infrastructure. Santana was excellent with very fast greens....... if only the speed of the players in front could match them!!!! My wife and I like both courses but Santana is very interesting and picturesque until they put in the houses.
