Le Phare Course

Designed and built in 1888 by Tom and Willy Dunn, the 18 hole Biarritz Le Phare golf course is the second oldest course on the continent. Despite being a par 69, it remains popular with many top name golfers who came here as amateurs and won the Biarritz Cup. Its difficulty lies in its technicality and it is not that easy to score. 70 bunkers and fast greens provide challenges. The course is near hotels, beaches, and shops and its proximity to the ocean, gives it the advantage of temperate weather throughout the year.

  • Ranked 33rd in France by Golf Magazine
