The K Club
Straffon, Co. Kildare, Ireland
Widely acknowledged as the
most challenging inland course in Ireland, The K Club is home to the Smurfit
European Open since 1995, and venue for The Ryder Cup in 2006. The Arnold
Palmer designed Golf Course is recognised as one of the finest in Europe.
Arnolds Pick is the 13th hole, a strategic 568 yard
par 5 (from the Palmer tees), where it is possible, with a long drive,
to go for the green in two. However there are bunkers, trees and water
to overcome before getting to the green -- which slopes in all directions.
Rated Number 11 in Ireland
